Installation instructions
Smoke detector for duct mounting
All electrical connections must be carried out by qualified electricians.
Product description
Unigard Super flow is designed to detect smoke gas in ventilation ducts. It
consists of a smoke detector as well as an adapting system designed for
optimal air flow through the detector.
The system meets all fire safety requirements at air flow speeds between 0,2
m/s and 20 m/s.
SP445 contains an intelligent controlling circuit. This circuit is adjusting
the sensitivity to give an optimal function during the whole life time of the
detector.
Detector cleaning by cloth or vacuum cleaner is recommended on an annual
basis.
The detector is fastened with a bayonet connector, making mounting and
unmounting easy.
Installation
The aluminium pipe can easily be cut for adaption to the diameter of the ventilation duct. The hole in the duct should have a diameter of 38mm. If the ducts are circular or covered with isolation, use the enclosed mounting bracket and grommet. The hole should then have a diameter of 51 mm. In case of an outdoor or low-temperature loft installation, the detector must be protected with an isolated cover type UG3-Cover.

Function test
When the installation is completed, a test should be performed to make sure that everything works according to spec. The test can be performed with test spray DI 7003
Normal operation:
On the circuit board, the green LED should light up. All relays are active
connected between C and NC. The service alarm relay is connected between 9 and
10.
|
Smoke alarm:
The red LEDs on both the circuit board and the detector should light up. The
smoke alarm relay is connected between C and NO.
| Reset:
Press the reset button to reset the detector.|
Service alarm:
The green LED on the detector and the yellow LED on the circuit board should
light up. The service alaram relay disconnects between switch 9 and 10.
|
Error:
In case of an error, the green LED on the circuit board is not lit, and no
relays are active. This might occur in case of a power dirsuption, removed
detector etc
