SAFETY WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
Auto – Darkening welding helmet is designed to protect the welders eyes from
harmful radiation including visible light, ultraviolet radiation (UV), and
infra-red radiation (IR). These harmful radiation comes from arc and gas
welding processes.
Ensure that helmet comes properly assembled. It must be adjusted to your
personal preferences before you use it. St it up for delay time, sensitivity,
and shade number for your application. (See the table with recommended shade
levels)
Make sure to remove any additional protection foil from both sides of
protection lens!
- Never place the helmet or the fiter on hot surface.
- This Auto – darkening welding helmet is not suitable for laser welding.
- Never open o tamper with the Auto – darkening fifter.
- This helmet will not protect against severe impact hazards.
- This helmet will not protect against explosive devices or corrosive liquids
- Do not make any modifications to either the filter or helmet, unless specified in the manual.
- Do not use replacement parts other than those specified in this manual. Unauthorized modifications and replacement parts will void the warranty and expose the operator to the risk of personal injury.
- Ifthis helmet dose not dark upon striking an arc, stop welding immediately and contact your supervisor or your dealer
- Do not immerse the filter in water.
- Do ot use any solvents or abrasive cleaning detergent on the filter screen or helmet components.
- Use only at temperature: 23 °F – 131 °F(-5 °C t0 55 °C).
- Protect the filter from contact with liquid and dirt.
- The material which may come into contact with the wearer’s skin can cause allergic reactions in some circumstances.
- The ADF shall only be used in conjunction with the inner cover lens.
- Eye-protectors against high speed particles worn over standard ophthalmic spectacles may transmit impacts, thus crating a hazard to the wearer.
- Toughened mineral filter oculars shall only be used in conjunction with a suitable backing ocular.
- If the symbols for B are not common to both the ocular and the frame, then it s the lower level which shall be assigned to the complete eye-protection.
- Material aging is a comment state after long time using, like burst damage. This product will not be able to have effective protection and when this happen, the user have to immediately stop using it
- This product cannot be used for over head welding or look up cutting. If this product is used for over head welding or look up cutting operation, the molten metal drop may burn though helmet and the ‘welder will get injured.

Working principle
Different with traditional passive shading lens, this one is made from various additives and pigment.
It adopts LCD as lens ADF, and uses the probe on mirror surface to probe the appearance and disappearance of the welding rays. It uses electricity to drive shading level of the LCD to achieve the goal of protecting us from harmful rays. It can absolutely reflect ultraviolet rays and ultrared rays.
In addition, your hands are thoroughly set free. Welding is more exactly. Therefore, efficiency is improved. -

Note:
The term “heavy metals” applies to steels, copper, alloys, and etc. If your
helmet does not include any one of the shades referenced above, it is
recommended that you use the next darker shade.
For Sensitivity
Level of 9 (SUPER) – Mostly used for welding applications but specially for
low current welding work.
Level of 0 – Only be used in some specific ighting conditions in order to
avoid unwanted triggering.
For Delay
The recovery times are recommended extended when the shade increases.
Level 9: The maximum delay time is 2,05, and it is suitable for most
welding application, especially for high amperage current application with
longer welding intervel,
Level 0: The minimum delay time is 0.04s, and it i suitable for spot weld
with short welding interval.
Gradient Mode
Check the operating panel (Fig.11) and long-press the FUNC or GRADIENT button,
and then the machine will be started.
GRADIENT mode allows shade gradually return from dark to light, and make
welderseyes more comfortable.
Note:
The operating of UP and DOWN: When you press the UP/DOWN button, the relative
function willincreased/decreased by 1 level.
Memory Mode
Check the operating panel, and use MEMORY and UP/DOWN buttons.(See Fig.11).

If the battery icon s flashing, please change the battery, otherwise you will
not have a well operation.
Note:
After changing the battery, you need to self-check the ADF by long-press the
MODE button. Itis essential to mount it in correct way as the llustration when
replacing the battery. (The tray wil depict the polarity showing which side is
positive and which side is negative) (See Fig ).
Helmet Adjust Ments
Helmet Adjust Ments
Insert the headgear into helmet shell as the installation order in Fig1.
Adjust the headgear to make it more comfortable and put shield i the correct
position according to individual preference (See Fig.2-Fig.4).
Note: Make sure both sides are equally positioned for proper operation.
Replacing Auto Darkening Welding Filter
Remove the front protection plate and put the helmet face down, and then press
both taps in the top of the filter and push the ADF out (See Fig.7).
Replacing Protection Plates
If protection plates are in any way damaged, they must be immediately replaced
(See Fig.7 &Fig8).
Battery Replacement
Remove the ADF casstte and pull out the battery stray, and next correct
battery operation as indicated on the battery stray (See Fig.9).

STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
Storage
When not in use the filter should be stored in a dry place within the
temperature -4 °F to 158 °F(-20 °C t0 70 °C). Prolonged exposure to
temperatures above 113 °F(45 °C) may decrease the battery’s lifetime. Itis
recommended to keep the solar cels of the auto darkening welding filter in the
dark place, or not be exposed to light during storage in order to maintain
power down mode. This can be achieved by simply placing the filter face down
on the storage shelf Welding helmet should not be dropped. And it should not
be placed with any heavy items or tools, which may damage the electro-optical
ilter
Maintenance & Cleaning&transporting
ItIs always necessary to keep the solar cells and the light sensors of the
filte free of dust and spatters: cleaning can be done with a soft tissue or a
cloth soaked in mind detergent (or alcohol). Never use aggressive solvents
such s acetone.
‘The user must check regularly every day to make sure there is no obvious
damage. Outer and inner visors are wear parts and must be replaced regularly
with genuine certified universal spare pats Transport the equipment with
original packing box and it must be away from direct sunlight.
COMMON PROBLEMS AND REMEDIES
Irregular Darkening Dimming
Headgear has been set unevenly and there is an uneven distance from the eyes
to the filter lens.
(Reset the headband to reduce the difference to the filter).
The filter Does Not Darken Or Flicker
- The front cover lens s soiled or damaged (please change the cover lens);
- The sensors are sofled / blocked, o the solar panel is blocked (Clean the sensors surface to make sure you are not blocking the sensors or solar panel with your arm or other obstacle while welding);
- The sensitivity s set too low or the delay time is set too short (Adjust it to required level);
- Make sure proper shade is selected (not grind mode).
- Check battery and verify that they are in good condition and installed properly.
- The battery terminals and the contact surface of the ilter are dirty or oxidized. (Clean both of them)
The Filter Darkening without Arc Being Struck
The sensitivity was set too high (Adjust the sensitivity to a required leve)
The Filter Remains Dark After A Complete Welding
The delay time was set too long(Adjust the delay time to a required leve),
Slow Response
The operating temperature is too low(Do not use the temperatures below
~10°C/14 °F).
Welding Helmet Slips
Headgear is not properly adjusted.(Readjust the headband).
Poor Vision
- Change the cover lens/clean flter
- Ensure ambient light.
- Ensure the shade number is correctly set.
