OVEN FUNCTIONS
FUNCTION DESCRIPTION
Oven Light: This function enables the user to observe the progress of their
cooking without letting heat escape by opening the door. The oven lamp will
operate for all functions except Pyrolytic Cleaning function.
Defrost: The circulation of air at room temperature enables quicker thawing of
frozen food (without the use of any heating elements). It is a gentle but
quick way to speed up the defrosting time and thawing of ready-made dishes,
scones or cakes with icing, etc.
Bottom Heat: This function is commonly used for cakes, where you want to crisp
the bottom or keeping food warm. The temperature can be set within the range
of 60120°C. The default temperature is 60°C.
Bake (Conventional): Ideal for cakes, pizza & cookies. The top & bottom
heating elements operate together to provide convectional cooking. The
temperature can be set within the range of 50250°C. The default temperature
is 220°C.
Fan Bake: Evenly distributes heat within the cavity for baking & roasting on a
single tray via a combination of the fan, and both top and bottom heating
elements. The evenly distributed heat can save up to 30-40% of energy compared
to the Bake (Conventional) function. Dishes will be lightly browned on the
outside and still moist on the inside. This function is suitable for grilling
or roasting at a higher temperature. The temperature can be set within the
range of 50250°C. The default temperature is 220°C.
Grill: This cooking method is for everyday grilling, utilising only the inner
grill element directing heat downwards onto the food. The inner grill element
switches on and off to maintain temperature. The temperature can be set within
the range of 180240°C. The default temperature is 210°C.
Max Grill: Suitable for grilling large amount of cooking on a lower rack
within the oven using the inner and upper heating element. The temperature can
be set within the range of 180240°C. The default temperature is 210°C
Max Grill & Fan: Suitable for grilling large amount of cooking on a lower rack
within the oven using the inner and upper heating elements, along with the fan
to circulate the hot air around the oven cavity. The temperature can be set
within the range of 180240°C. The default temperature is 210°C
Fan Forced (Convection): An element around the convection fan provides an
additional source of heat for convection style cooking. In Fan Forced mode,
the fan evenly distributes heat within the cavity to circulate hot air to
allow cooking on multiple shelves. Please bake & roast at temperatures lower
than the Bake (Conventional) function to avoid burning your food. The
temperature can be set within the range of 50240°C. The default temperature
is 180°C.
Pyrolytic Cleaning: This function will turn any cooking mess into ash for easy
cleaning by raising the oven temperature to 450°C for 1.5 or 2 hours. Please
read the instructions on page 15 before using this function. WARNING: Ensure
that all accessories, including slider brackets, are removed from the cavity
of the oven before performing the Pyrolytic cleaning function.
