INTENDED USE
- This appliance is intended to mix and keep cool ice cream or yoghurt.
- Only use the appliance as described in this manual.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.
- This appliance is intended for indoor use only.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children under the age of 8 years should not use the appliance.
- Any use of the appliance other than described in this manual is regarded as misuse and may cause injury, damage to the appliance and void the warranty.

General safety instructions
WARNING
- Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions in this user manual before you install or use the appliance. Keep this document for future reference.
- Keep the appliance and the power cord away from children and pets.
- Do not use the appliance if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective appliance immediately.
- Fire hazard! The freezing agent of your appliance consist of Isobutane R600a, a natural gas that is environmentally safe even though it is flammable. Make sure that no components of the freezing agent circuit are damaged during the transport and use of the appliance. If the freezing agent circuit does get damaged:
- Avoid open flames and sources of ignition.
- Ventilate the room in which the appliance is placed sufficiently.
- Do not start using the appliance again before having it checked by Solis or a service center authorized by Solis.
Safety instructions regarding installation
WARNING

Do not drop the appliance and avoid bumping.

Place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat and moisture resistant surface.

Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight.
-
Before using the appliance, check that the voltage stated on the type plate of your appliance matches your mains voltage. Do not operate the appliance with a multiway plug adapter.

Never use the appliance with an external timer switch or remote control.
-
Do not leave the power cable hanging over table edges to prevent the appliance from being pulled down. Make sure that neither the appliance nor the power cord or plug comes into contact with hot surfaces, such as hotplates or a radiator, or that they come into contact with the appliance itself.

Never place the appliance in such a way that it is at risk of falling into water or coming into contact with water resp. other liquids (e.g. in or near a sink).

Never reach for an appliance that has fallen into water or other liquids:
- Always wear dry rubber gloves to unplug the appliance before taking it out of the water.
- Do not start using the appliance again before having it checked for functionality and safety by Solis or a service center authorized by Solis.

Do not place the appliance directly under a power outlet.

Switch off and unplug the appliance before moving the appliance.

Fully unwind the power cable before use.

The appliance is not designed for outdoor use. The appliance must not come into contact with rain. Do not use in vehicles or on boats.

Remove and discard all packaging materials and potential stickers or labels (except for the type plate) before using the appliance for the first time.

Check the appliance before each use and ensure that the appliance, power cord and plug are not damaged and no parts have come loose.
Install the power cord so that nobody can trip over it. Keep clear of pointed objects. -
Keep the appliance away from hot gas, hot ovens and other heat-emitting appliances or heat sources. Never use the appliance on a hot or wet surface. Never place the appliance near moisture, heat and naked flames. Keep the appliance away from moving parts or appliances.

Never carry the appliance by the power cord and do not place anything on the power cord. Never pull on the power cord to disconnect the appliance from the power mains. Only pull on the plug.

Risk of damage to the appliance. The appliance is equipped with a compressor that has to be in upright position:
- Never tilt the appliance to a degree exceeding 45°.
- Never remove the feet from the appliance.
- Always place the appliance with the filler opening facing up.
If the appliance is tilted by accident or has been turned upside down, do not switch on the appliance. Let the appliance stand in upright position for 3 hours before using it again.

Do not place anything on top of the appliance.

Children must be supervised to ensure that they not play with the appliance.

Suffocation hazard! Keep packaging material, including plastic bags, out of the reach of children.

Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.

Only use the appliance with the provided accessories or accessories recommended by Solis. Incorrect accessories or misuse can lead to damage to the appliance.

Do not insert sharp or pointed objects into the openings of the appliance. This may damage the appliance or result in electric shock.

Always make sure that the appliance is correctly assembled before using the appliance.

Do not cover the appliance or the air vents when the appliance is in use.
-
Always make sure that the ice cream container is attached to the appliance and the stirring tool is firmly connected to the shaft when making ice cream.

Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.

Remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use.

Do not operate the power button at short intervals to save the compressor. Always keep a break of 5 minutes before switching the appliance back on.

Unplug the appliance when it is not in use or unattended, and before cleaning. We recommend the use of a residual current device (RCD
safety switch) to ensure additional protection during the use of electrical appliances. It is advisable to use a safety switch with a rated residual operating current of 30 mA maximum. For professional advice consult an electrician. -
Do not shake, move or lift the appliance while it is in use.

Always use the spatula to take the contents out of the ice cream container. Never use metal kitchen tools inside the ice cream container.

Never use the appliance when the appliance is empty.
-
Never put the ingredients directly into the ice cream container chamber. The ingredients must only be placed in the ice cream container.
-
Pull the plug after every use. Only then, the appliance is fully switched off.
-
Switch off the appliance with the power button, unplug the power cable and wait until the motor, compressor, and stirring tool have come to a stop, when removing the contents from the ice cream container.
-
Keep hands, fingers, hair, clothing, jewelry or kitchen tools away from the inside of the appliance and never reach in when the appliance is plugged in.
-
If any object (e.g. scraper or kitchen tools) falls into the ice cream container during use, press the power button, unplug the power cable, and remove the object only after motor and stirring tool have come to a stop.

Always check if the ice cream container chamber and the outsides of the ice cream container are clean and dry before starting to use the appliance. Safety instructions regarding maintenance
WARNING -
Switch off and unplug the appliance before service and when replacing parts.

Never clean the appliance with metal sponges. The metal particles in the sponge could come loose and touch the electrical components in the appliance, causing electric shock. For the same reason, no other electric devices must come into contact with the appliance.

Always keep the appliance and the accessories clean. The parts are generally not dishwasher-safe.

Never store explosive or flammable substances like aerosol containers (deodorant sprays, hair sprays etc.) in the appliance.

Even when the appliance is not in use, the lid should only be removed for short periods of time.

Always remove the stirring tool before cleaning.
-
Never unplug the appliance when the appliance is still switched on, or parts in the appliance are still moving.

BEFORE FIRST USE
- Remove all packaging, stickers and labels.
- Clean the following parts with hot water and mild soap:
- Lid 4
- Scraper 6
- Measuring cup 7
- Stirring tool 8
- Ice cream container 9
- Dry all parts thoroughly.
INSTALLATION
- Place the appliance in an upright position on a clean, dry, stable, flat, and heat and moisture resistant surface.
- Fully unwind the power cable before use.
MAKING ICE CREAM
-
Place the appliance in an upright position on a clean, dry, stable, flat, and heat and moisture resistant surface.
-
Turn the lid 4 clockwise to open the appliance.
-
Lift the lid 4 off the ice cream container 9.
-
Take the ice cream container 9 out of the appliance.
Always make sure the stirring tool is firmly and exactly placed on the shaft.
Otherwise, the ingredients cannot be stirred.
Always insert the stirring tool into the ice cream container before putting the ingredients into the ice cream container.
Always fill the ice cream container outside of the ice cream container chamber. Otherwise, ingredients may splash into the ice cream container chamber.
Never fill the ice cream container over 60%! The mixture gains volume when mixing. -
Make sure the ice cream mixture is at room temperature (approx. 25 °C, +/- 5 °C) before putting it in the ice cream container.

Put the prepared ice cream mixture into the ice cream container 9.
-
Wipe off any residues off the sides of the ice cream container 9.
-
Make sure the ice cream container chamber 3 and the outside of the ice cream container 9 are dry.
-
Place the ice cream container 9 into the ice cream container chamber 3. Make sure the joints of the two handle-grips on the ice cream container slide into the two recesses of the ice cream container chamber.
-
Place the lid 4 on the ice cream container 9.
-
Turn the lid 4 counter clockwise to close the appliance.
Never open the lid during preparation unless explicitly mentioned in the recipe. Use the folding lid in the lid to add ingredients during operation if necessary. -
Plug the power cable into a power outlet. The power button y flashes faintly in the control panel
The appliance is in standby mode. -
Press the power button y for 1 second to switch the appliance to settings mode. The display shows 60:00 and all buttons light up.
-
Press the ice cream program button t to switch the appliance to ice cream preparation mode.
-
4 Use the timer adjustment buttons to change the standard operation time. Settings between 5 and 60 minutes are possible.
-
Press the start/pause button r to start ice cream preparation.
Use the start/pause button to pause and resume the ice cream preparation for a short period of time. -
If the time in the display has reached 00:00, switch the appliance off by pressing the power button y for 1 second. The display goes dark and the power button flashes faintly.

Unplug the power cable from the power outlet.
-
Turn the lid 4 clockwise to open the appliance.
-
Lift the lid 4 off the ice cream container 9.
-
Use the handle to pull the ice cream container 9 out of the appliance.
Always use the spatula to take the contents out of the ice cream container.
Never use metal kitchen tools inside the ice cream container.
Never place the ice cream container in the freezer or refrigerator.
If the ice cream container is frozen in place, wait a few minutes before lifting it up. -
Press the power button y for 1 second to switch the appliance to standby mode.
If you do not switch off the appliance off right after the display shows: 00:00, the appliance switches to automatic refrigeration function. After 10 minutes, the cooling unit and the fan switch on. Display shows COOL. After 10 minutes the appliance switches to standby mode. The appliance beeps 3 times. The refrigeration function stops, the control panel goes dark, only the power button is lit up.
MAKING YOGURT

Place the appliance in an upright position on a clean, dry, stable, flat, and heat and moisture resistant surface.

Turn the lid 4 clockwise to open the appliance.
-
Lift the lid 4 off the ice cream container 9.
-
Take the ice cream container 9 out of the appliance.
-
Make sure the milk has a temperature of 38 – 40 °C.
-
Put the well-blended yogurt ingredients into the ice cream container 9.
-
Wipe off any residues off the sides of the ice cream container 9.
-
Make sure the ice cream container chamber 3 and the outside of the ice cream container 9 are dry.
-
Place the ice cream container 9 into the ice cream container chamber 3. Make sure the joints of the two handle-grips on the ice cream container slide into the two recesses of the ice cream container chamber.

Place the lid 4 on the ice cream container 9.

Turn the lid 4 counter clockwise to close the appliance.

Use the timer adjustment buttons to change the standard operation time. Settings between 4 and 24 hours are possible. -
Press the start/pause button r to start yogurt preparation.
Use the start/pause button to pause and resume the yogurt preparation for a short period of time. -
If the time in the display has reached 00:00, switch the appliance off by pressing the power button y for 1 second. The display goes dark and the power button flashes faintly.

Unplug the power cable from the power outlet.
-
Turn the lid 4 clockwise to open the appliance.
-
Lift the lid 4 off the ice cream container 9.
-
Use the handle to pull the ice cream container 9 out of the appliance.
Always use the spatula to take the contents out of the ice cream container.
Never use metal kitchen tools inside the ice cream container.
Never place the ice cream container in the freezer or refrigerator.
Transfer the yogurt to a number of other containers when the yogurt is not directly consumed. Make
sure to close the containers with a lid and place the containers in a refrigerator. -
Press the power button y for 1 second to switch the appliance to standby mode.
If you do not switch off the appliance off right after the display shows: 00:00, the appliance switches to automatic refrigeration function. The cooling unit and the fan switch on for 15 minutes to cool the ice cream container contents to approx. 9 °C . Display shows COOL. After 15 minutes the cooling unit and the fan switch off. The temperature sensor monitors the temperature of the ice cream container contents. If the temperature from the contents rises above 9 °C, the cooling unit and the fan switch on for another 4 minutes. This process repeats until the appliance is switched off.
USING THE REFRIGERATION PROGRAM
Use the refrigeration program to cool or freeze the contents of the ice cream
container without stirring.
To use the refrigeration program:
- Press the refrigeration program button w. The display shows 30:00.
- Use the timer adjustment buttons q to change the standard operation time. Settings between 5 and 60 minutes are possible.
USING THE MIXING PROGRAM
Use the mixing program to mix the contents of the ice cream container without
freezing it.
To use the mixing program:
- Press the mixing program button e. The display shows 10:00.
- Use the timer adjustment buttons q to change the standard operation time. Settings between 5 and 60 minutes are possible.
CLEANING AND C ARE
Before cleaning the appliance:
-
Switch off and unplug the appliance.
-
Let the compressor completely cool down.
To clean the housing: -
Wipe the casing 2 and the control panel 5 clean with a soft, slight moist towel.
-
Wipe the ice cream container chamber 3 with a damp cloth.
To clean the ice cream container: -
Take the ice cream container 9 out of the appliance.
-
Fill the ice cream container 9 to half with warm water and mild soap.
-
Leave the water in the ice cream container 9 for 10 – 20 minutes.
-
Clean the ice cream container 9 with a soft sponge.
-
Rinse the ice cream container 9 with clear water.
-
Dry the ice cream container 9.
-
Do not clean the ice cream container in a dishwasher!
To clean the lid: -
Clean the lid 4 in warm water with mild soap with a soft sponge.
-
Dry the lid 4 with a soft cloth.
To clean the stirring tool: -
Rinse the stirring tool 8 with warm water and mild soap.
-
Clean the middle section of the stirring tool 8 and remove ice cream remains with a bottle brush.
-
Let the stirring tool 8 dry completely.
STORAGE
- Check if all parts of the appliance are clean and dry.
- Place the stirring tool 8 into the ice cream container 9.
- Place the ice cream container 9 into the ice cream container chamber 3.
- Place the lid 4 on the ice cream container 9.
- Store the appliance in an upright position in a dry, dark place. Optimally, use the original packaging. Do not place anything on top of the appliance.
