Frequently Asked Questions

Is it compatible with chrome book?

Yes, you can use Google Cloud Print.

How does this work with :inux Ubuntu?

You should have no problem. Most Linux distributions come with HP printer drivers included, and if not, there is the HP Linux Imaging and Printing (HPLIP) driver available directly from HP.

Is this printer compatible with the mac mini?

Yes. But keep in mind this machine is a sku from South America. Which means when you go to buy replacement ink in the US, it won't work in this machine unless you can get a software update from HP. If you can source South American ink then you're good to go. In my case, HP was kind enough to give me an all- new printer that works in the US.

Is setup easy?

when it works right. An HP printer bricked itself during the warranty. HP would ONLY send an 8210 as a replacement. I set it up. The next day it cannot print because the printer says, Please complete setup. I run through the entire installation process again. A few days later, the same problem. I replaced it with a Brother Printer.

Does it reduce and enlarge?

No, it is a printer. It only prints what you and your computer tell it to print.

what printer is best with HP Elitebook 840 laptop?

I think it's choice by your area space available, want fast printing of many pages, color or black n white. Some print most pages faster than others. Compare the specs of some against each other.

Is it possible to print pictures, shipping labels or stickers ?

Yes, you can print photos, shipping labels, or stickers with this HP Officejet Pro 8210 printer. Just be sure the labels or stickers are made for inkjet printers.

Does 8210 support android phone?

Yes, you can print from your Android Phone. Just be sure the Android phone and the printer are on the same wireless network.

Does this printer come with ink in the box or does that have to be purchased separately?

Yes, it comes with setup cartridges.

Can it print if it has no color?

It probably won't. Printer manufacturers make a killing on ink and they want you to use as much of it as possible. Printers use color ink to make blacks look richer, (think photos,) but also use the color ink for your black text. When the color ink runs out, most printers will not even brint basic black without color ink installed. And it will waste the color ink cleaning the printheads, even if you are just printing black text.

Can you print a 5x7 card using this printer?

Yes, you can print a 5 x 7-inch card with this HP Officejet Pro 8210 printer. This printer supports up to 110-pound paper.
