Product Usage Instructions

To configure or monitor the switch, connect the configuration interface via the included serial configuration cable to the serial interface of the device.

To connect devices to the switch:

  • For TP Ethernet interfaces 10M/100M/1G (interfaces 1 to 12), use Ethernet cables to connect the interfaces to your PC or a LAN switch.
  • For TP Ethernet interfaces 100M/1G/2.5G (interfaces 13 to 24), use Ethernet cables to connect the interfaces to your PC or a LAN switch.
  • For SFP+ interfaces 1G/10G (interfaces 25 to 28), insert suitable LANCOM SFP modules into the SFP+ interfaces and choose cables that are compatible with the SFP modules. Connect them as described in the module’s documentation.

To supply power to the device, use the IEC power cable supplied or a country- specific LANCOM Power Cord. Before connecting the power supply, make sure to connect the device to earth to avoid high touch current.

The reset button can be used to restart the device or reset the configuration. To restart the device, press and hold the reset button for approximately 5 seconds. To reset the configuration and restart the device, press and hold the reset button until all port LEDs glow.

The LED indicators provide information about system status and port activity:

  • System: off – device switched off
  • System: green – device operational
  • System: red – hardware error
