  • The speed limit key should be in the parent or adult supervisor’s possession at all times.
  • The speed limit key is used to set the maximum speed limit desired by the parent or adult supervisor.
  • There are two maximum speed limit settings included in the Weeler:
  • High-speed limit: 10 mph (16 kph)
  • Low-speed limit: 6.2 mph (10 kph)
  • To set the desired maximum speed limit, the parent or adult supervisor must:
  • First, ensure the product is powered off.
  • Locate the speed limit key.
  • Insert the speed limit key into the speed limit switch (located on right side of the Weeler frame, below the seat).
  • Turn the speed limit key to desired maximum speed limit setting.
  • Turn the key left(red dot) & remove the key to set the speed limit to HIGH.
  • Turn the key right(green dot) & remove the key to set the speed limit to LOW.
  • After the desired maximum speed limit has been set, and the product is powered on, the rider will not be able to exceed that speed limit while the product is in use.
  • To prevent any rider from being able to adjust the speed limit, the parent or adult supervisor must ensure the speed limit key is REMOVED from the speed limit switch before the product is used.
  • Note that the HIGH maximum speed limit is the built-in maximum speed limit. The product is not able to exceed this speed limit.
  • DO NOT attempt to modify or tamper with the product in any way to try and override this speed limit. Doing so will automatically void the manufacturer’s warranty.

Safety mechanisms

Power switch

  • The power switch (which is red) is located on the battery pack, on the left side of the Weeler frame.
  • The power switch – when flipped to the left (the ON position) – will enable all other control mechanisms to be used (i.e. ignition and accelerator lever).
  • Before using the product, the power switch must be in the ON position FIRST, before using the ignition key to power on the motor.
  • When the product is ready to be powered off, ensure the ignition is turned off FIRST, before flipping the power switch to the right (the OFF position).

ATTENTION

  • DURING RIDING: If the power switch is accidentally flipped to the OFF position while the rider is riding the product (with the ignition key still in the ON position), the motor will automatically shut off.
  • DURING CHARGING: The power switch must be ON during charging.
  • (When the product is NOT charging and NOT in use, the power switch must be OFF.)
  • DURING STORAGE: The power switch must be OFF, if storing the product away.

Slow-start mechanism

  • When the product is powered on and the throttle is engaged, the slow-start mechanism will automatically begin:
  • The product will proceed to move forward at the slowest possible speed for approximately 8 to 10 seconds.
  • While the slow-start mechanism is active, the motor and throttle twist control are both locked to the slowest possible speed.
  • After 8 to 10 seconds, the slow-start mechanism will be automatically turned off, thus enabling the rider to begin using the throttle twist control to gradually increase speed (up to the desired maximum speed limit set by the parent or adult supervisor).
  • The slow-start mechanism is a safety feature implemented to minimize the risk of a sudden onset of speed or accidental lurches/launches/falls.
  • There is no way to bypass or remove the slow-start mechanism. DO NOT attempt to modify or tamper with the product in any way to try and override this safety feature. Doing so will automatically void the manufacturer’s warranty.

Headlight switch

  • The headlight switch is located directly beneath the battery level indicator.
  • To turn the headlight ON, press the headlight switch in.
  • To turn the headlight OFF, press the headlight switch again so that it’s popping out.
  • Reminder – the rider should NEVER operate the product at times or in areas of low to no visibility, including fog, mist, areas with obstructions or blind spots, and dusk/nighttime.
  • However, in the event more visibility is needed while the product is in use, the headlight switch can be used to turn on the headlight to increase visibility (to a limited degree).
  • Note that the headlight switch will NOT turn on the headlight while the product is powered off.

Riding and throttle control instructions

Pre-ride checklist: Before each use of the product, the rider and any parent or adult supervisor must follow the pre-ride checklist below.

  1. Check the presence, condition, and functionality of ALL PARTS before use, including motor, brake, battery pack, tires, spokes, headlight, and all other electric parts.

  7. To engage the throttle, the rider should use their right hand to gently rotate the throttle twist control (located on the right handlebar).
  8. When the throttle is first engaged, the slow-start safety mechanism will automatically start, then after 8 to 10 seconds, the slow-start safety mechanism will automatically turn off.
  9. When the slow-start safety mechanism is automatically turned off, the throttle can then be fully engaged where the amount of rotation on the throttle grip controls the speed level adjustment (up to the maximum desired speed limit set by the parental control speed limit key).
  10. When the rider rotates the throttle grip, the speed will increase. When the rider gradually releases the throttle grip, the speed will decrease.
  11. While powered on with the throttle engaged, the product will continuously move forward, until the throttle is fully released and the brake is engaged. **
  12. There is NO REVERSE function for this product. The product moves in a forward motion ONLY when powered on and the throttle and motor are engaged.
  13. The rider should KEEP HANDS ON HANDLEBARS AT ALL TIMES while the product is in use.

It is strongly recommended that the rider and parental / adult supervisor conduct multiple short practice runs (how to ride, stop, and brake safely) in a safe location at the lowest speed level, only GRADUALLY increasing the speed when all parties are comfortable doing so.

Stopping and braking

Parental or adult supervision is required AT ALL TIMES when the product is in use and the rider is following the braking instructions below:

  1. To stop the product safely, engage the brake by gradually releasing the THROTTLE and depressing the BRAKE LEVER next to the left handlebar.

  2. If the product is going at a higher speed, first LOWER the speed by GRADUALLY releasing the throttle grip, then release it entirely before depressing the brake lever.

  3. Depressing the brake will disengage the power to the motor.

  4. Once the product has come to a complete stop at a safe location, the rider’s feet should be
lowered from the footrests to the ground.

  5. If the rider is disembarking from the product, first lower the kickstand to the ground, ensure that it is all the way lowered, and gradually release the handlebars until the product is safely leaning
    onto the kickstand.

  6. After each use of the product, ensure that it is POWERED OFF safely by:

    • Turning the ignition key to the OFF position, then removing the key.
    • Flipping the power switch to the OFF position.
    • Pressing the headlight switch (if on) to the OFF position.
    • Following charging instructions on page 5.
