INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

SOFT-CLOSE TIP-OUT TRAYS

  1. STEP 1 Which Sink Base Cabinet do you have?
This sink base tip out organizer set will work on sink cabinets that have either (2) 14.5” (36.8 cm) or larger openings or (1) 32.5” (82.6 cm) or larger opening. Depending on the type of sink base cabinet you have will also determine how many hinges you will use (See Fig. 1).REV-A-SHELF-6572-14SC-11-5-Tip-Out-Trays-2-Pack-

  2. STEP 2 Preparing your Panel(s): Using a short pencil, you will need to reach up underneath the sink to trace a light line around the opening, as shown to create a template that you will use to make sure you are attaching the panels straight. Once you have traced the line, you can now begin to remove the panel(s). Once your panel is removed, indicate which side is the top of the door by marking a “T”. (See Fig. 2).
Note : In order to measure properly for the next step, the cabinet door/panel will need to be removed for accurate measurement. Since each cabinet manufacturer constructs cabinets differently, you will need to determine the best way to remove them to gain access for measuring and installation.REV-A-SHELF-6572-14SC-11-5-Tip-Out-Trays-2-Pack-

  3. STEP 3 Soft-close dampener options:
The included soft-close dampeners have been engineered with enough force where only (1) dampener is required per set of hinges. Measure to make sure you have at least 3” of clearance on only 1 side of the opening and that will be the side that you will mount your softclose dampener (See Fig. 3).
Note : Ensure that the hinge is not obstructed by the sink.REV-A-SHELF-6572-14SC-11-5-Tip-Out-Trays-2-Pack-

  4. STEP 4 Mounting the dampener In order to mount your dampener, follow illustrations. (See Fig. 4A – 4C) .
Note : If you extend the arm of the hinge, it will make installing the dampener easier.REV-A-SHELF-6572-14SC-11-5-Tip-Out-Trays-2-Pack-

  5. STEP 5  Preparing hinge mounting to frame of cabinet:
With your panel(s) removed, you can now begin installation. You will need to begin by cutting out the (2) templates on page 6. Use the hinge template by placing it as shown and mark your (2) hole locations. You will repeat this for each hinge no matter if you are installing into (2) or (1) opening. Once your holes are marked, predrill (2) 3/32” pilot holes per hinge into the frame of the cabinetREV-A-SHELF-6572-14SC-11-5-Tip-Out-Trays-2-Pack-

  6. STEP 6 Preparing extension template for door panel(s):
With the lines you traced in Step 2, you will now take the extension template and line this up on the corner of each traced line as shown. Once your holes are marked, pre-drill (2) 3/32 pilot holes per side of the door panel(s).
Note : When pre-drilling into the door panel(s), make sure to NOT drill through your panel (See Fig. 6).REV-A-SHELF-6572-14SC-11-5-Tip-Out-Trays-2

  7. STEP 7 Preparing sink front trays:
Use the “T” to indicate the TOP of the panel(s) and the line you traced in Step 2 as your guide. Lay the tipout tray on the line as shown and use a pencil to mark and pre-drill (2) 3/32 pilot holes in the center of the keyholes.
Note : When pre-drilling into the door panel(s), make sure to NOT drill through your panel

  8. STEP 8 Using the (4) provided #8×1/2” screws, attach your hinge(s) to the panel(s) as shown. Then use (2) of the same screws to screw into the door panel where the tip-out tray will attach. Do not screw in all the way as you will want a little room behind the screw so the trays slide down into the keyhole (See Figure 8A – 8C).REV-A-SHELF-6572-14SC-11-5-Tip-Out-Trays-2-Pack-FIG-14

  9. STEP 9 Installing hinges: Using the provided #8×5/8” screws, you can now attach your hinges to the frame. Having someone hold the panel while attaching may be required. (See Fig. 9). Attach your trays and your installation is complete (See Fig. 10).REV-A-SHELF-6572-14SC-11-5-Tip-Out-Trays-2-Pack-FIG-15 REV-A-SHELF-6572-14SC-11-5-Tip-Out-Trays-2-Pack-FIG-16
NOTES Testing your sink base accessory Depending on application you may have an extra set of hinges. Test your new tip-out hinges and if the door is not closing as softly as you would like, simply uninstall one of the hinges and attach the other dampener and that should remedy the problem.REV-A-SHELF-6572-14SC-11-5-Tip-Out-Trays-2-Pack-
