VISUAL COMFORT CHO 2936 Fresno LED Wall Lantern

Product Information

The Fresno Large 2-Light 3/4 Wall Lantern is a light fixture that requires assembly. It is item # CHO 2936 and does not come with bulbs included. The fixture should be installed in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. The product comes with a mounting plate (B), screws (F), anchors (A), wood screws (C), support cable, metal bars (H), and glass panels (K).

Tools Required (Not Included)

  • Phillips Screwdriver
  • Slotted Screwdriver
  • Drill
  • Hammer
  • Pencil

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Carefully remove all parts from the box and place on a clean, soft surface.
  2. Remove mounting plate (B) from fixture (G) by removing screws (F).
  3. Using mounting plate (B) as a guide, line up with the junction box and mark anchor positions.
  4. Using a drill bit slightly smaller than the anchor, drill holes in the marked positions. Install anchors (A) into the holes using hammer.
  5. Install mounting plate (B) to the junction box and secure with mounting screws (D), then secure wood screws (C) to anchors (A).
  6. Run support cable through hole on back of mounting plate (B).
  7. Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.
  8. Install fixture (G) to mounting plate (B) and secure with screws (F).
  9. Install light bulbs into the sockets.
  10. Remove metal bars (H) from fixture frame by removing screws (I) as shown in diagram 3.
  11. Install glass panels (K) to fixture frame by securing with metal bars (H).

Care Instructions

Clean only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. Do not use abrasive or chemical agents.

NOTICE:
This light fixture should be installed in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. Inspect item and contents carefully. If any damage or defect is found, do not install. Retain all packaging material until installation is complete and approved.

  1. Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.

  2.  Remove mounting plate (B) from fixture (G) by removing screws (F).

  3. Using mounting plate (B) as a guide, line up with the junction box and mark anchor positions.

  4.  Using a drill bit slightly smaller than the anchor, drill holes in the marked positions. Install anchors (A) into the holes using hammer.

  5. Install mounting plate (B) to the junction box and secure with mounting screws (D), then secure wood screws (C) to anchors (A).

  6. Run support cable through hole on back of mounting plate (B). Loosen cable lock and install to end of support cable. Insert cable through the other side of cable lock and tighten ends with a screwdriver to secure.

  7.  Wrap fixture ground wire (bare copper) around the green grounding screw Tighten. Continue fixture ground wire and connect to supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) using wire nut (E).
    NOTE: It is imperative that the fixture is grounded.

  8. Connect fixture neutral wire (white) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (E).

  9. Connect fixture hot wire (black) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (E).
    CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.

  10. Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.

  11. Install fixture (G) to mounting plate (B) and secure with screws (F).

  12.  Install light bulbs into the sockets.

  13.  Remove metal bars (H) from fixture frame by removing screws (I) as shown in diagram 3.

  14. Install glass panels (K) to fixture frame by securing with metal bars (H) and screws (I) using provided wrench (J).
    NOTE: Do not overtighten otherwise glass could become damaged.

  15. Install glass panel (L) to fixture frame by securing with metal bars (H) and screws (I) using provided wrench (J).
    NOTE: Do not overtighten otherwise glass could become damaged.
    FOR OUTDOOR/WET LOCATION INSTALLATION:

  16. Using silicon compound, apply a small bead where backplate meets the wall to prevent water from entering.

NOTE: Large gaps will need to be corrected before applying silicon compound.
