Product Information

The Brassica Large Chandelier, Item # KW 5645, is a ceiling-mounted light fixture that comes with two options for installation – Canopy Mounted Driver and Ceiling Mounted Driver.
The product should be installed in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved.
The package includes all required parts for installation. Tools required for installation, such as a Phillips screwdriver, slotted screwdriver, wire strippers, and wire cutters, are not included in the package. The product is designed for indoor use only and should be cleaned only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. Abrasive or chemical agents should not be used for cleaning the product.

Product Usage Instructions

Option 1: Canopy Mounted Driver

1. Remove all parts from the box and place them on a clean, soft surface.

2. Remove mounting plate (A) from canopy (G) by removing collar ring (H).

3. Install mounting plate (A) to the junction box and secure with mounting screws (D).

4. Feed electrical wires through bottom rod (K) and connect to fixture (L). Repeat for middle rod (J), connecting to bottom rod (K).

5. Continue feeding wire through collar ring (H), canopy (G) and top rod (I).

6. Holding fixture upright, slide collar ring (H) and canopy (G) down and insert top rod (I) into mounting plate bracket.

7. Insert driver (C) into mounting plate bracket.

8. Connect driver (C) input neutral wire (white) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (B).

9. Connect driver (C) input hot wire (black) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (B).
   CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.

10. Connect fixture neutral wire (black) to driver (C) output wire (black) using wire nut (B).

11. Connect fixture hot wire (red) to driver (C) output wire (red) using wire nut (B).
    CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.

12. Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck them into the junction box.

13. Install canopy (G) to mounting plate (A) and secure with collar ring (H).

Option 2: Ceiling Mounted Driver:

1. Remove all parts from the box and place them on a clean, soft surface.

2. Install mounting bracket (A) to the junction box and secure it with mounting screws (D).

3. Feed electrical wires through the bottom rod (K) and connect to the fixture (L). Repeat for the middle rod (J), connecting to the bottom rod (K).

4. Continue feeding the wire through the top rod (I).

5. Insert driver (C) into the mounting plate bracket.

6. Connect driver (C) input neutral wire (white) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (B).

7. Connect driver (C) input hot wire (black) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (B).
   CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.

8. Connect fixture neutral wire (black) to driver (C) output wire (black) using wire nut (B).

9. Connect fixture hot wire (red) to driver (C) output wire (red) using wire nut (B).
   CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.

10. Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck them into the junction box.

11. Attach the mounting bracket (A) to the ceiling and secure with mounting screws (D).

12. Slide the canopy (G) over the mounting bracket (A) and snap it into place.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Option 1: Canopy Mounted Driver

NOTICE:
This light fixture should be installed in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. Inspect item and contents carefully. If any damage or defect is found, do not install it. Retain all packaging material until installation is complete and approved.

TOOLS REQUIRED

(NOT INCLUDED)

• Phillips Screwdriver
• Slotted Screwdriver
• Wire Cutters
• Wire Strippers

1. Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.
2. Remove mounting plate (A) from canopy (G) by removing collar ring (H).
3. Install mounting plate (A) to the junction box and secure with mounting screws (D).
4. Feed electrical wires through bottom rod (K) and connect to fixture (L). Repeat for middle rod (J), connecting to bottom rod (K).
5.  Continue feeding wire through collar ring (H), canopy (G) and top rod (I).
6. Holding fixture upright, slide collar ring (H) and canopy (G), down and rest on middle rod (J). Then connect top rod (I) to middle rod (J). NOTE: Slide components down slowly to avoid damages.
7. Hang fixture swivel ball (F) to the center of mounting plate (A) and secure with set screw (E) using provided wrench. See diagram 1.
8. Cut excess wires, being sure to leave enough to reach the junction box. Separate wires, and strip insulation on each 5/8″.
9. Connect supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) around the green grounding screw (see diagram 2). Tighten
   • NOTE: It is imperative that the fixture is grounded.

Option 2: Ceiling Mounted Driver

NOTICE:

2. Place driver (C) into ceiling and route all wires through one of the knockouts in the junction box.
3. Remove mounting plate (A) from canopy (G) by removing collar ring (H).
4. Install mounting plate (A) to the junction box and secure with mounting screws (D).
5. Feed electrical wires through bottom rod (K) and connect to fixture (L). Repeat for middle rod (J), connecting to bottom rod (K).
6. Continue feeding wire through collar ring (H), canopy (G) and top rod (I).
7. Holding fixture upright, slide collar ring (H) and canopy (G), down and rest on middle rod (J). Then connect top rod (I) to the middle rod (J).
   • NOTE: Slide components down slowly to avoid damages.
