Before First Use
DANGER: Risk of suffocation! Keep any packaging materials away from children and pets – these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.
- Remove all the packing materials.
- Remove and review all components before use.
- Check the product for transport damages.
Operation
Inserting batteries
NOTICE: Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard
(Carbon – Zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
- Lift and remove the rear cover (H) (Fig. 1).
- Insert 2x AA 1.5 V batteries into the battery compartment (G) (Fig. 2).
- Refit the rear cover (H) (Fig. 3).
Switching on/off
- To switch the product on, slide the l/O switch (F) forwards (Fig. 4).
- To switch the product off, slide the 1/O switch (F) backwards (Fig. 4).
Use
NOTICE
- Do not use the product on embroideries, zips, buttons and loose threads.
- The product does not switch on if the blade guard (B) is not fully installed and the safety latch (D) is not fully pressed.
- Place the piece of fabric / garment on a flat and even surface.
- Switch the product on, and then select a small inconspicuous area to test before moving onto a larger area.
- Using a light amount of pressure, slowly glide the blade guard (B) against the fabric in a forward, backward and side to side motion (Fig. 5) (Fig. 6).
- Switch the product off and rearrange the fabric to start the process again.
NOTICE
- Attach the protective cover (A) for more precision cutting. The smaller exposed area allows you to work in areas where detail is required such as shirt collars and nearer the edge of fabrics.
- Use the blade guard (B) directly on fabric to cover larger areas and for a more even surface for shaving.
Cleaning and Maintenance
CAUTION: Risk of injury!
- Keep your fingers and hand away from the blades attachment (C) during cleaning and maintenance.
- Remove the batteries from the battery compartment (G) when performing cleaning and maintenance.
NOTICE
- Switch the product off before cleaning.
- Do not use towels, paper towels, and wire ball sponge to clean the blades.
- During cleaning do not immerse the electrical parts of the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
Cleaning and changing the blade attachment
- To clean the exterior, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Wipe the product dry after cleaning.
- Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scorers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
To clean all other parts of the product, complete the following steps:
- Remove the protective cover (A) (Fig. 7).
- Remove the blade guards (B) by turning it counter- clockwise (Fig. 8).
- Clean the underside of the blade guard (B) with the cleaning brush (K) (Fig. 9).
- Carefully lift out the blade attachment (C) from the blade bin (E) making sure to only hold the sides of the attachment (Fig. 10).
- Clean the blade attachment (C) and the blade bin (E) with the cleaning brush (K) (Fig. 11).
- Refit all the parts after cleaning is complete.
Emptying the container
When the container (I) is approximately 80% full, remove the container by
pressing and sliding it downwards and then empty it (Fig. 12 &13). Storage
- Store the product in its original packaging in a dry area.
- Keep away from children and pets.
