VISUAL COMFORT ARN 5174 Liscia Large Chandelier
Product Information
The Liscia Large Chandelier, Item # ARN 5174, is a decorative lighting fixture that can be installed in any room of your house or office. The chandelier requires a 1/4 IPS threaded pipe for installation, which is not provided with the product. The package contains 68 pieces of P and 327 pieces of Q, which are used for assembly. The chandelier should be installed in accordance with all applicable local installation codes and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. The product should be inspected carefully before installation, and if any damage or defect is found, do not install it. The product should be cleaned only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster and should not be cleaned with abrasive or chemical agents.
Product Usage Instructions
- Take out all the parts from the box and place them on a clean, soft surface.
- Install a 1/4 IPS threaded pipe, secured to a ceiling outlet box.
- Attach the chain to the chandelier and adjust the length as per requirement.
- Connect the wires to the power source according to the wiring diagram provided.
- Attach the collar loop to the center hole of the chandelier.
- Loosen the cable lock and install it at the end of the safety cable.
- Run the safety cable through the chain and attach it to the ceiling outlet box.
- Twist all fixture wires together and slip them through the center hole of the collar loop (C).
- Untwist the wires and separate them to prepare for connection.
- Connect the wires according to the wiring diagram provided.
- Install the bulbs as per the instructions provided with them. Note that bulbs are not included in the product.
- Turn on the power to test the installation.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
NOTICE
This light fixture should be installed in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. Inspect items and contents carefully. If any damage or defect is found, do not install it. Retain all packaging material until installation is complete and approved.
TOOLS REQUIRED (NOT INCLUDED)
- Phillips Screwdriver
- Slotted Screwdriver
- Chain Pliers
- Slip Joint Pliers
- Wire Strippers
- Measuring Tape
- Wire Cutters

Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.

It is recommended to install a 1/4 IPS threaded pipe, secured to a structural member of the building (not included). Then install threaded nipple (B) into the receiver and tighten it with a wrench.
NOTE: The item must be supported independently of the junction box due to hanging weight. -
Remove the lock collar (C) from the chain (F) and secure it to a threaded receiver attached to the structural member by tightening the locknut.

Install canopy (D) to collar loop (C) and secure with collar ring (E).

Determine desired overall length, and amount of chain (F) needed. Shorten the chain using chain pliers. (Keep extra chain)

Attach chain (F) to collar loop (C) and fixture loop (G) using quick links (S). Secure quick links (S).

Thread fixture wire, ground wire, and safety cable through the chain (F).
NOTE: When you reach the collar loop (C), ensure there is no tension between the wires. Cut excess wires, being sure to leave about 12” to reach the junction box. -
Separate two sides of molded wire, and strip insulation on each 5/8″.

Loosen collar ring (E) and let canopy (D) slip down chain (F) carefully.

Twist all fixture wires together. Slip through the center hole of the collar loop (C).
NOTE: Untwist wires and separate to prepare for connection. -
Loosen the cable lock and install to the end of the safety cable. Run safety cable
through the junction box and around structural members of the building. Insert cable through cable lock and tighten the ends with a screwdriver to secure. See diagram 1) -
Connect fixture ground wire (bare copper) to the supply ground wire(usually green or bare copper) using wire nut (A).
NOTE: It is imperative that the fixture is grounded. -
Connect fixture neutral wire (ribbed) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (A).

Connect the fixture hot wire (smooth with markings) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (A).
CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections. -
Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck them into the junction box.

Install canopy (D) to collar loop (C) and secure with collar ring (E).

Install light bulbs into the sockets.

Hang crystal drop (R) onto the bottom of the fixture.

Hang crystals (P) & (Q) starting from the bottom (layer 1) and working your way to the top (layer 7) as shown in figures L1-L7 and diagram 2.
