Intended use

AutoTurn is specially developed for use with car seats to make it easy to enter and exit a vehicle. The two nylon sides facing each other reduce friction during turning. The underside of the AutoTurn pillow has a non-slip surface, to ensure that the device rests firmly on the car seat.

AutoTurn is fastened to the seat back.
AutoTurn features a functional handle which a carer can use to pull the user into place on the car seat.

Intended environment

Acute care, Long-term care, Home care

Practical handling

Positioning

Position AutoTurn centrally on the car seat. Fit the straps, fasten and tighten securely at seat back. Fit the functional locking system (next to the functional handle) to the safety belt. When the user turns in the seat, the belt will automatically glide slightly forward.

The safety belt can be secured on the opposite side using the functional locking system **(Illustration 4).

**

Use

The user seats him/herself on the centre of AutoTurn. The user then raises either both legs simultaneously or one leg at a time inside the vehicle, thus turning the body inside the car (AutoTurn is also perfect for turning the user inside the vehicle) (Illustrations 1, 2 and 3 ). This avoids unnecessary strain on the body. The carer can pull on the functional handle to help the user glide into place.

To exit the car, the user swings the legs out of the vehicle, preferably in stages, before raising him/herself to the standing position.
