Connect the POE camera to the POE NVR via network cable (cat5).

Preparation – Connection

Type 2: Non-POE NVR & POE Switch

Preparation – Connection

Connect the POE camera to the POE switch, and POE switch to the NVR, via network cable (cat5).

It’s recommended to setup the camera to work with the NVR or NAS devices for the most stable preview, playback and much longer records.

The camera can connect directly to the NVR with PoE ports built-in, or connect to the NVR/NAS without PoE ports built-in through PoE switch or injector.

  • The camera can work with our own NVR through plug and play way which will make it much simple and easier to start. If you already purchased our NVR, the camera can connect to the NVR without configuration to go. AI functions can also work in this way.
  • The camera can work with Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview and some other brands’ NVR through their protocol which may be named “Private”.
  • The camera can work with all 3rd-party NVR through ONVIF protocol with all functions enabled freely. You will be promoted to ask to fill out the username and password, the default is admin/12345.
  • The camera can work with the NAS device like QNAP, SYNOLOGY, WD etc. through NFS 2.0 protocol.
