DIGI XBee-PRO 900HP RF Module
Product Information
The XBee 900HP RF Modem is a wireless communication device that comes with different variants such as USB, RS-232, and RS-485. It has several components including an RPSMA antenna, power supply,USB cable (USB variant only), Mini USB cable (RS-232 and RS-485 variants only), DB9 cable (RS232 variant only), and Phoenix connector (RS-485 variant only). The modem also has several symbolssuch as RSSI LEDs, I/O LEDs, a commissioning button, a reset button, switch 1 and switch 2 for termination configuration, RS-232Serial port, RS-485 Serial port, antenna port, and a USB port.
Product Usage Instructions
- Verify the components of the kit to ensure that everything is complete.
- Identify the symbols on the RF modem such as RSSI LEDs, I/O LEDs, commissioning button, reset button, switch 1 and switch 2 for termination configuration, RS-232 Serial port, RS-485 Serial port, antenna port, and USB port.
- Connect the appropriate cables to the RF modem depending on thevariant:
- If using the USB variant, use the USB cable.
- If using the RS-232 or RS-485 variant, use the Mini USB cable or DB9 cable respectively.
- Connect the RPSMA antenna to the antenna port of the RF modem.
- Connect the power supply to the power supply port of the RF modem. The power supply must be between 7-30 VDC.
- If using the RS-485 variant, connect the Phoenix connector tothe RS-485 serial port.
- Configure the RF modem by setting switch 1 and switch 2 for termination configuration.
