SeaLife SL680 Sea Dragon 5000 Pro Photo Video Light

Product Information

The Sea Dragon 5000+ Pro Photo/ Video Light (Item SL680) is a high-performance underwater light designed for underwater photography and videography. It features a powerful 5000-lumen LED light that can be adjusted to five brightness modes, including a red light mode. The light comes with a 50W Li- ion battery that provides a long-lasting power supply. The light is waterproof and features a thermal sensor that dims the light if it overheats.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Charge the battery by placing it in the charging tray. The charging status indicator on the AC power adapter will turn green when fully charged. Note: The battery is pre-installed in the light. Remove the yellow contact cover that prevents accidental power on.
  2. Before each dive, clean and lube the O-rings as needed. Only apply a thin film of lube. O-rings should appear shiny. Wipe off excess lube.
  3. Insert the battery into the light with the battery label facing down and screw on the waterproof battery cap.
  4. Connect the light to an arm or grip using the Flex-Connect YS adapter if connecting to a Flex-Connect system of arms, grips, and trays. The light may also be mounted directly to YS arms and grips. Use the YS-to-Ball Joint adapter for attaching to one-ball arms and grips.
  5. To power on the light, quickly push the power button three times within one second. To power off, push and hold the button for two seconds.
  6. The light powers on at 5000 lumens. Push and release the power button to cycle through five brightness modes: 5000 lumens, 5000 lumens + Color Boost, 3000 lumens, 1500 lumens, and Red. Repeat the cycle.
  7. The battery status indicator, located next to the power button, is green when the battery charge is 100 – 51%, blue when 50 – 16%, and red when less than 15%. The LED will blink when using Color Boost. The light has a 10-minute reserve mode and will dim to 500 lumens for 10 minutes before the battery power is completely empty.
  8. To activate the emergency signal mode, push and hold the power button for four seconds from the power-off state. Push and release the power button to select between a one-second blink interval and SOS Morse code.
  9. To set the light to Advance Mode, push and hold the power button for eight seconds from the power-off state. Release the button when the battery status indicator starts blinking. Push and release the power button to select between Easy Mode (one blink per sec.) and Advanced Mode (two blinks per sec.). Push and hold the power button for two seconds to save the setting and power off. The Advance mode has eight brightness settings: 5000 lumens > 5000 + Color Boost > 6000 > 6000 + Color Boost > 3000 > 3000 + Color Boost > 1500 > Red. Repeat cycle.
  10. After use, soak the sealed light in fresh water for 20 minutes to dissolve the salt residue. Towel dry. Allow the light to fully dry before storage.

IMPORTANT

  1. Avoid using the light above water for more than 30 seconds. The front of the light head quickly gets very hot, which may cause burning when touched. Water is needed to keep the light cool.
  2. If water has entered the battery compartment or under the lens port, immediately power off the light. On land, remove the battery.
