IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE USE AND RETAIN IT FOR LATER REFERENCE!

WARNINGS

• Before using the product for the first time, please read the instructions for use below and retain them for later reference. The original instructions were written in the Hungarian language.
• This appliance may only be used by persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking in experience or knowledge, as well as children from the age of 8, if they are under supervision or have been given instruction concerning the use of the appliance they have understood the hazards associated with use. Children should not play with the device. Children only from the age of 8 may only clean or perform user maintenance on the appliance under supervision. Keep the appliance and its power cord out of reach of children under the age of 8.
• Make sure the appliance has not been damaged in transit!
• Use of the appliance is allowed in households or in similar sites, as staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working places, hotel or motel rooms, and other living premises accommodations providing breakfast
• Use the appliance only for boiling drinking water!
• Place the appliance only onto a stable and horizontal surface!
• The appliance must not be used with programmable timers, timer switches, or stand-alone remote-controlled systems that can automatically turn the unit on.
• Only for indoor use, in a dry place! Protect it from humid circumstances (e.g.: bathroom, swimming pool)!
• It is PROHIBITED to use the unit near bathtubs, basins, showers, swimming pools, or saunas!
• Switch off the appliance and let it cool before filling the water tank. Fill only cold drinking water in the water tank.
• The appliance may only be used with the supplied stand.
• Do not place anything on the top of the appliance!
• Power off the unit by unplugging it from the electric outlet before cleaning or relocating it.
• Hold the plug, not the power cable when you pull it out from the electric outlet!
• Warning! Avoid splashing water on the wall electric outlet!
• In case of overloading the tank, hot water can spout out!
• Do not move the kettle, and do not open the lid, when the water is boiling inside of it.
• Risk of burning injuries! The kettle will warm up during operation, so relocate it only by its handle!
• Take extra care by moving the kettle!
• Do not place the appliance on an electric or gas cooker or near other heat source.
• Operate only under constant supervision!
• Do not operate unattended in the presence of children!
• If any irregular operation is detected (e.g. unusual noise or burnt odor from the unit), immediately switch it off and remove the power plug!
• Protect from dust, humidity, sunlight, and direct heat radiation!
• Do not touch the unit or the power cable with wet hands!
• Make sure, that the power cable and the plug can not get in touch with water or any other liquids!
• Unwind the power cable completely!
• The appliance may only be connected to properly grounded 230 V ~/50 Hz electric wall outlets!
• Do not use extension cords or power strips to connect the unit!
• Power cables must not get in touch with hot surfaces!
• The appliance should be located so as to allow easy access and removal of the power plug!
• Lead the power cable so as to prevent it from being pulled out accidentally, and do not let it hang over the edge of a table!
• Heating elements / heated surfaces of the appliance are still warm for a while after the unit has been switched off!
• When not planning to use the unit for an extended period of time, switch it off then remove the power plug from the outlet. Store the appliance in a cool, dry place!
• The unit is intended for household use only. No industrial use is permitted!
• Due to continuous improvements, the technical data and design may change without any prior notice.

• We don’t take the responsibility for printing errors that may occur and apologize for them.

Caution: Risk of electric shock! Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the unit or its accessories. In case any part is damaged, immediately power off the unit and seek the assistance of a specialist.
**** In the event that the power cable should become damaged, it should only be replaced by the manufacturer, its service facility, or similarly qualified personnel.

INSTALLATION

1. Before installation, carefully remove the packaging and make sure not to damage the unit or the connecting cable. If you find any damage, the unit must not be operated!
2. Unwind the power cable and lead it out on the side of the stand!
3. Set the stand on a hard, horizontal surface!
4. Plug the unit into a standard grounded wall socket. Now the unit is ready for operation.
5. Open up the lid with a short push of the round button in the middle.
6. Fill the kettle with cold water up to the max. marking and closing the lid tightly.
7. Place the kettle on the stand.
8. Switch on the kettle by pushing the on/off switch down. The operating indicator will light.
9. If the water has boiled, the switch will turn off, and the light will go out.
10. Pour out the boiled water.
11. Repeat two more times steps 5 – 10.
12. Afterward, the unit is ready for use.

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE

Cleaning the water tank

1. It is recommended to remove the limescale once a month in case of hard water, and once every two months in case of medium-hard or soft water.
2. For that purpose, prepare a solution by mixing one part of 10% vinegar with 2 parts of water.
3. Fill the water tank with this solution up to the MAX marking, then leave it to stand for 2 hours.
4. According to the 5 – 10 points of INSTALLATION, rinse the kettle 2 – 3 times.

Cleaning the water filter

1. Open up the lid of the water tank and remove the filter from the spout. To do this, press the filter from the inside out.
2. Clean the filter with a soft brush under running water.
3. Insert first the bottom part of the filter into its place and after push the upper part back.

Cleaning the stand

1. Switch off and power off the unit by unplugging it from the electric outlet before cleaning!
2. Clean the stand with a dry cloth. Do not use any aggressive cleaners. Avoid getting water inside of and on the electric components of the appliance! The appliance must not be immersed in water!

DISPOSAL

**** Waste equipment must be collected and disposed of separately of household waste because it may contain components hazardous to the environment or health. Dispose of products at a facility specializing in the collection of electronic waste. By doing so, you will protect the environment as well as the health of others and yourself. If you have any questions, contact the local waste management organization. We shall undertake the tasks pertinent to the manufacturer as prescribed in the relevant regulations and shall bear any associated costs arising.
