Paradigm BX-208 Backbox and DCS-208IW3 In Wall Subwoofer
Product Information
The product is a speaker system that includes an enclosure box (BX-208 backbox) and a subwoofer (DCS-208IW3). The backbox weighs 17.6 lb/8 kg, the subwoofer weighs 14 lb/6.3 kg, and the total weight of the product is 31.6 lb/14.3 kg. The product comes with mounting brackets made of galvanized steel. The required amount of damping material is included and correctly positioned in the backbox. The wire loop must be attached with the screw provided.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before installation, do not puncture or remove the protective plastic over the cutout until ready to install the subwoofer.
- Paradigm does not supply screws for mounting the backbox and subwoofer to the wall. Choose screws appropriate for wall composition and weight of backbox with subwoofer.
- If you are not comfortable performing the installation procedure, contact a professional installer.
- Before drywalling, snake wire through wire loop then along the wall to amplifier.
- To prevent vibrations and resonances from coloring output, center the backbox between joists. The backbox must not touch joists.
- To install the subwoofer, hold the subwoofer’s front lip with your thumbs and index fingers and push the 4 mounting screws toward each other with your other fingers, so the mounting brackets can fit through the hole with an up-and-in motion. Release the screws and gently push the subwoofer into the backbox.
- To install the grille, remove it before painting. Attach it after installation.
