Product Information

Product Usage Instructions

JIG (pro case):

• Open the JIG (pro case).
• Insert the product into the JIG (pro case).
• Use the JIG (pro case) to test and diagnose any issues with the product.

USBC cables:

• Connect one end of the USBC cable to the product.
• Connect the other end of the USBC cable to a power source or a computer.
• The product will start charging when connected to a power source.

Replacement Charging Case:

• Remove the old charging case from the product.
• Insert the product into the replacement charging case.
• Connect the replacement charging case to a power source using the USBC cable.
• The product will start charging when connected to a power source.

Purpose

• The aim of this document is to guide the service technician through the process of replacing a missing or broken PI7 Charging Case.
• This document is intended for use by a qualified technician or a competent person who has been authorised to carry out Bowers & Wilkins product servicing.
• Ensure compliance with local Health & Safety regulations when servicing.

Cosmetic Inspection

• A Cosmetic Inspection should be done before any work commences.
• This is to ensure that there is no external damage to the PI7 earbuds and case.
• The Case (1), Left earbud(2) and Right earbud(3), should be checked for damage dur- ing the inspection. (Damage should be noted in report)

Software Tool Install For Windows 10

Setup for Windows 10

• Install Cygwin http://www.cygwin.com/ for execute .sh file
• Find a suitable install file, setup-×86_64.exe for 64-bit, setup-x86.exe for 32 bit
• Add a folder ServiceCenter to C:
• Download and save the following files into the same folder.
• sh Emcti-mira

Charging Case Replacement Process

• Connect the JIG to the test laptop or desk top PC using a USB C cable.
• The JIG will start to flash RED/BLUE/GREEN.
• Plug-In the original earbuds into the JIG.
• The JIG’s LED’s will change to show a Solid White LED Briefly to indicate that earbuds have been detected.
• Connect the replacement case to the same test laptop or desk top PC using a USB C cable.
• Start the Cygwin64 Terminal.
• Input “cd c:\ServiceCenter”
• Copy and paste the “Pl7 PEER_PAIRING_PRO_Replace_Case.sh” file

Press enter if paused.

• Confirm by pressing enter that the earbuds are in the Jig and the replacement case is also connected to the rework PC.
• Wait until “End Of Process” is seen in the Cygwin64 Terminal window.
• Once the “end of the process” is seen, remove the earbuds and place them into the replacement charging case.
• Follow the pairing process in Pl7’s Quick Start guide.
• Pair the earbuds to a source device that they have not been paired previously or a device that has “forgotten” this pair of earbuds.
• A successful replacement will allow for the pairing process to a source device to be completed.
• Check that audio can be heard from both earbuds and perform a general function test.
