Start

- Open the front of the adapter. Insert a cassette.
- Connect headphones or a speaker via the AUX connection to be able to hear what is being played.
- Insert a USB flash into the USB port. If you are charging the cassette adapter with USB at the same time, use the female port on the included adapter.
- Press the play button to start listening to the cassette.
- Press the record button while the tape is playing to make the device start converting the tape digitally to MP3 and saving it on the USB flash. Press it again to stop the process.
- Adjust the listening volume to your liking by turning the volume wheel on the side.
Recording modes
Manual mode
Start playing the tape and press the record button when your USB flash is
connected. The LEO indicator goes from a solid green light to flash quickly.
Press the recording button once more to stop recording. If the indicator does
not start flashing, reconnect the USB flash.
When recording in manual mode the cassette player saves the recording as one
file. If you want to make each song a separate file, press the down button in
between songs to start recording a new file. The LEO indicator turns off for 2
seconds and resumes
Automatic mode
Automatic mode is activated by holding in the down button for 3 to 5 seconds
when no tape is playing. The indicator turns blue. When auto mode is
activated, the player detects the interval between songs and make each song a
separate file. If there is a long pause in a song the player might detect this
as a new song and make a new file. If the interval between two songs is too
short the player might detect them as one song and keep them together as one
file.
If any of the two situations above occur, you can use the free software
Audacity to edit the files to your liking. Download the software from the
following link:
Playback
If you want to listen to recorded files on the player, press the playback
button on the front. The indicator flashes slowly to indicate playback mode.
Use the up and down buttons to navigate between files. Adjust the volume by
pressing the+/- buttons. The player can also play other MP3s if these are
placed in the TAPEMP3 folder on the USB flash.
Safety information
To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods. Depleted batteries should be removed and replaced by a similar kind. Dispose batteries according to local regulations. If the cassette adapter will not be used for a long period of time, take the batteries out of the cassette adapter or disconnect it from the power supply.
