Connection diagram
This is an example of how to connect the Moviesaver to your device. Depending on the device you want to connect to, you will need an S-video, composite or audio cable.

Use
Instructions for Windows users
1. Install the driver
Before you connect the Moviesaver to your computer, insert the CD-ROM disc
into your CD drive. Select the option “Install Drive(. Follow the instructions
in the installation guide on your computer. After you have finished the driver
installation, restart the computer.
Connect the Moviesaver to a USB port on your computer. Select the option “Install the software automatically” and choose “Next”. When the window “Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard” appears, choose “Finish” to complete the driver installation.
2. Install the software
Re-run the CD and select the option “Install Application” from the menu. When
asked to enter a product key, enter the code on the label of the CD envelope.
When the installation is completed, choose to exit. eject the CD and restart
your computer.
3. Using the software

Open the software honestech VHS to DVD 5.0 SE.

Capture Settings: Click on the drop-down box next to Video Device and select ezcap USB video capture from the list.

Click on Settings next to Video Device: ezcap USB video device and select Composite Video or S-Video from the list, depending on how you have connected your device.

Click on the drop-down menu next to Audio Device and select Line (ezcap USB audio) from the list.

Click on the drop-down menu next to TVNideo Standard and choose video standard – PAL (for UK & EU).

Click on the drop-down menu next to Recording Resolution and set a resolution of your choice.

Click on Change next to the Save Location and choose where you want to save your captured video.

Click on the drop-down menu next to Capture Format and choose a format of your choice.
If you do not know what format to choose, MPEG-2 file (25 GBI is a standard choice. -
Click on the drop-down menu next to Quality and choose what quality you want for your captured video.

Click OK in the bottom of the window to finish the capture settings.

Make sure the Moviesaver is connected to your video source and start to play your video. Click on the red Record button to start recording and click on the Stop button to stop recording. Click on the Camera icon to take images.

Click on the EDIT tab on the screen. The captured videos are listed in the right pane of the main window. Here you can choose a video to edit and add various effects to.

Click on the BURN tab. Here you can create the chapter points, select theme and burn your DVD. Click the Settings icon to set the disc according to your requirements.
Note! Due to software updates, the steps in the manual may not match with how the current software looks.
Instructions for Mac users
1. Install the driver
Insert the CD-ROM disc into your CD drive. Double click “ezcap.pkg” to start
the driver installation. Click on “Continue” and “lnstal I Succeeded” to
finish the installation. Connect the Moviesaver to a USB port on your
computer. The driver installs automatically to your computer.
Click on the Apple logo in the left corner of your computer -> About this
Mac-> More info-> Hardware. If the driver has been installed correctly, USB.
·ezcap USB audio· is seen in the list for hardwares.
2. Using the software
- Open Quicklime Player (you can find the software by going to Applications-> Quicklime Player).
- Click on the File menu and choose New Movie Recording.
- Click on the dropdown menu next to the red Record icon. Select ezcap USB video device under Camera and ezcap USB audio in the Microphone option.
- Connect the Moviesaver to your video source and play your video. Click on the red Record button in the software to start recording. Click on the Stop button to stop recording. Quicklime Player automatically saves your captured videos as .mov files.
Note! The Moviesaver also works with VLC Media Player or OBS Studio. Select ‘ezcap USB video device” to be the video capture device.
If you re-install the driver for your Mac OS, you need to restart the Mac
Book.
For Big Sur Mac OS X, the Quick Time player does not work. Download and use
the software OBS tor Mac instead.
