Instructions for use
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
- Do not immerse the scales unit in water. It will cause damage and your scales will not function correctly.
- Clean the scales unit with a damp cloth only. Do not use harsh chemicals.
The scales tray can be washed in warm soapy water. Ensure parts are dry before re-assembly.
STORAGE
- When not in use, store in a cool place away from heat sources.
- If the scales are not going to be used for long periods or being placed in storage, please remove batteries from the unit.
REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT OF BATTERIES
- Batteries should only be replaced be an adult.
- Only use batteries of the same type as indicated (2×AAA size alkaline Batteries) and install as directed.
- Do not mix different types of batteries.
- Do not leave batteries within the reach of children. Always dispose immediately.
- Please dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations.
Do not incinerate.
HOW TO INSTALL THE BATTERIES
- Open the battery cover on the bottom of the scales.
- When installing the batteries, please put the battery’s “ -” side In the bay firstly and then press the other “+” side to finish the installation.
Note: Please distinguish the installation of the “+” and “-”side of the batteries before installation. (Here is the picture of installation).
HOW TO ASSEMBLE
- Place the digital scales on a flat surface.
- Remove two separate tray pieces.
- Push the two tray pieces together firmly as shown.
- Place the tray onto the digital scales using the locator.
- Turn the scales upside down and lock the tray into position by rotating these two discs 90 degrees.
- Set up complete.
HOW TO USE WITH THE TRAY
- Assemble as per assembly instructions.
- Place the scales on a stable flat surface.
- Press “ON/ OFF” button to turn the scales on.
- If using a towel or blanket, make sure you add this, press “TARE” and only place baby on the scale after the display shows “0”. You can select weight unit by pressing the “UNIT” button (you can select between kg, oz, lb).
- Pressing the “HOLD” Button, allows you to maintain the weight on the screen and prevent it fluctuating if baby wriggles. Press again, and it will cancel the holding data.
Tips: If you use the scale without a tray, please hold your baby upright on the scales, ensuring their feet are also positioned on there and not dangling off the edge.
FUNCTION DESCRIPTION
ON/OFF Button:
Press the button to turn the scales on
Long press the button to turn the scales off
TARE Button:
We recommend placing a lightweight blanket or towel onto the scales tray
before placing your baby on the scales, for extra comfort.
The “TARE” button can be used to subtract the weight of that towel or blanket:
simply add the blanket or towel, the weight of that item will appear on the
scale, press the tare button and that weight will be deducted, with the
scales reading a “ 0” (as per picture below). At this point, you can
confidently place your baby on scales and achieve an accurate measurement.
Hold Button:
Infants/pets may move whilst being weighed, which can cause the display
reading to fluctuate.
After the weight number goes stable, you can maintain the weight on the screen
by pressing this “HOLD” button. When you want to cancel the holding data,
simply press the button again.
Unit Button:
Press this button to select your preferred weight unit: You can choose between
(kg/oz/lb).
Automatic Power off function:
The product will automatically power off if the scales have not been used
within 2 minutes.
IMPORTANT WARNINGS
- These scales are to be used for domestic purposes only.
- Always use and handle these scales with care.
- Never place any weight on these scales that exceeds the maximum capacity indicated (Max capacity is 100KG without the tray. Max capacity 40KG if with the tray).
- Never leave baby/ child unattended. Always use with adult supervision.
- Only use these scales on a flat and stable surface.
- When moving the scales, always lift and place in new position. Do not drag the unit.
- Do not immerse scales unit in water or any other liquid.
- Before each use, inspect the product. Do not use if there are signs of damage.
- Always follow the instructions for assembly.
- Function of the unit will be affected if not used as directed.
