ALTA Honeycomb Shades
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Important: Make sure the mounting surface is level. Brackets must be in line and level for shade to install properly.
Inside Mount: Install the brackets level and aligned to each other, using
the screws provided. The minimum mounting depth for an inside shallow mount is
3/4”. A minimum of 2” is needed to fully recess a shade with the standard
rail. A minimum of 2 1/2” is needed to fully recess a shade with the large
rail.
Outside Mount : Center the shade over the window opening at the desired
height and mark the end of the shade. The minimum mounting height for outside
mounted shades is 3/4”.
Spacer Blocks : Each spacer block projects brackets 3/8” away (max 3 sets). Make sure that the brackets are level and aligned. Attach using two screws. Screws should be long enough to secure the bracket to the mounting surface.
Extension Brackets: Extension brackets project the shading up to 2 7/8” from the mounting surface. Attach the mounting bracket to the extension bracket with the nuts and bolts provided.

Install the Hold-Down Brackets (Optional – OM Only)
Important: The bottom rail must be disconnected from the hold-down brackets to
raise the shade.
First, lower the shade and place the hold-down pins into the hole on the
bottom rail end caps. Then, mark the hold-down bracket locations on the
mounting surface. Center the hold-down brackets over the mounting hold
locations and check their alignment. Finally, attach the brackets using
screws.
Adjust the Shade
BOTTOM RAIL SHADE ADJUSTMENT First, lift bottomrail on the side to be adjusted. Then, use a screwdriver or dime.
- Turn the screw clockwise to lift that side of the shade.
- Turn the screw counterclockwise to lower that side of the shade.
- Half a revolution is 1/4” adjustment (the maximum adjustment is 1/2”).
Child Safety
WARNING
STRANGULATION HAZARD – Young chidren can be strangled by cords.
Immediately remove this product if a cord longer than 22 cm or a loop
