Location Example
Place the Zyxel Device in an open area free of obstacles, and adjust the angle to point the front panel towards the base station to have the strongest possible 5G NR signal.
Wall Mounting
Hardware Installation
Check that the Zyxel Device is turned off. There should be no Ethernet cable
connected providing power using PoE Insert your Micro SIM card provided by
your Internet Service Provider into SIM card slot. Make sure the SIM card is
fully inserted into the card slot.
Follow steps 1 to 4 in the drawing to connect an 8-pin Cat Se Ethernet cable
to the Zyxel Device’s LAN (PoE) port.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the provided PoE injector’s POE port.
- Use an Ethernet cable to connect the injector’s LAN port to a router/gateway for initial configuration.
- Connect the power plug on the PoE injector to a power outlet.
- Check the LED next to t SIM card slot.
Zyxel Air App Installation And Basic Configuration
Use the Zyxel Air app to find the optimal cellular signal strength.
Use the Zyxel Air app for finding the best place to receive a cellular signal and for basic configuration.
- On your smartphone, find the WiFi name (SSID) and enter the WiFi Key to connect (see the label on the device).
- Download and open the Zyxel Air app. Enter the default user name (admin) and password (see the label on the device). Click Login.
Nebula Cloud Registration and Monitoring
Option A: Nebula Mobile App Installation, Registration and Monitoring
Use Zyxel Nebula Mobile app to register the Zyxel Device with Nebula using the
QR code.
Where to find QR code:
Label on the device
Download and open the Zyxel Nebula Mobile app. Log in with your myZyxel account.
Create an organization and site or select an existing site. Scan the Zyxel Device’s QR code to add it to the site. (You can find the QR code in its webconfigurator or on a label on the device or its box.)
Option B: Nebula Web Portal Registration and Monitoring
Use the Zyxel Nebula portal to register the Zyxel Device with Nebula using the
MAC address and serial number.
You need the Zyxel Device MAC address and serial number to register it with
Nebula.
Follow the steps below to manage the Zyxel Device through the Zyxel cloud-
based network management system.
- Go to the Zyxel Nebula Control Center (NCC) website (https://nebulazyxel.com). Click Get Started to sign up for a myZyxel account and log in.
- Create an organization and a site (network) in the NCC.
- Enter the Zyxel Device’s LAN MAC address and serial number (S/N) (see the label on the device) in the NCC configuration screen.

Local Web Configuration
Network Connection
Option A: WiFi Connection
Scan the QR code on the device label to see the SSID and WiFi Key on your smortphone.
Option B: Wired Connection
Option A: Find the WiFi name (SSID) and enter the WiFi Key. On your
smartphone or laptop, find this SSID. Enter the key to connect.
Option B: Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to the LAN
(PoE) port of the Zyxel Device through a PoE injector or PoE switch.
2 Web Configuration
Use The Web Configuration for advanced configuration.
Note: When the Zyxel Device is managed by Nebula, use the Nebula-assigned password (Zyxel Nebula website: Site-wide > Configure > General settings > Device configuration: Local credentials) to log in.
Open your web browser and enter Thttps://1921681.1′ for initial configuration. Enter the default user name (admin) and password (xxxxxxxxxx). Click Login.

Main Bracket
- Use flange nuts to attach the device bracket to the back of the Zyxel Device.
- Follow step 2 in the drawing to align the main bracket with the middle bracket. Place the spring washer and washer on the screw bolt and insert the screw bolt through the holes to secure it.
- Follow step 3 in the drawing to align the middle bracket with the device bracket. Place the spring washer and washer on the screw bolt and insert the screw bolt through the holes to secure it.

- Select the wall / pole mounting direction (horizontal or vertical).
- Use flange nuts to attach the device bracket to the back of the Zyxel Device. (
- Follow step 3 in the drawing to align the main bracket with the device bracket. Place the spring washer and washer on the screw bolt and insert the screw bolt through the holes to secure it.
Pole Mounting (Optional)
Hose Clamps
Insert the hose clamps into the holes on the main bracket. Use a screwdriver to tighten the hose clamps and secure the main bracket to the pole.
Wall Mounting (Optional)
Nylon Wall Plugs
M4 Tapping Screws
- Use the four corner holes of the main bracket to mark holes on a wall. Drill four holes in a wall. ,
- Insert the nylon wall plugs into the holes.
- Use mounting screws to secure the main bracket to the wall through the nylon wall plugs.

- Follow step 1 in the drawing to align the middle bracket with the main bracket. Place the spring washer and washer on the screw bolt and insert the screw bolt through the holes to secure it.
- Follow step 2 in the drawing to align the middle bracket with the device bracket. Place the spring washer and washer on the screw bolt and insert the screw bolt through the holes to secure it.
- Use two M6 flange nuts to attach the back of the Zyxel Device to the device bracket. Attach the four rubber feet to the main bracket.
Pole/Wall Mounting Angle Adjustment
Use the Zyxel Air app to find the best place to receive a cellular signal
and for basic configuration.
Note: After configuring the Zyxel Device, turn its WiFi off. WiFi is for
management only.
