Download the Nexxt Home app from Google Play or the Apple App Store

Registration by email. Fill in the required information.

Connection

Plug the Nexxt Smart Plug into an outlet.

Step 1

Select Add device and wait for the app to automatically recognize the device. If not, click the “Smart plug” icon on the device list. Make sure the blue LED light is on and in a flickering effect. This indicates that the pairing process has started.

Connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Keep in mind this smart plug does not work with 5GHz networks.

The plug will connect to the app in about 1 minute and send a confirmation message once added. Click on the Next button.

When you see the Device added notification on the screen, assign it a location from the available options. If you have several sockets at home, this option will come handy. By clicking on the pencil next to the device name, you can give it the name you want. After this step, the product will be ready to be used.

The main screen of this device will display two large buttons. Press the one at the top to turn the light ring on and off, and the second one to turn the power plug on and off.

Click on Countdown to set how long you want the light or plug to stay on.

Timing

Click on Timing to schedule the time you want the plug, the light, or both to turn on or off. Keep in mind that each schedule allows you only one task, either turn on or off. If you want to schedule both tasks, you need to create two schedules.

Delete schedule

Once you have created one or more schedules, they will appear in a list you can also access by clicking on Timing. If you want to delete any of them, press on it and slide your finger to the left. Immediately, a “Delete” option will appear. Click on it, and voila: schedule deleted.

Settings

You’ll find the Settings icon in the bottom right corner of the home screen. By clicking on it you’ll find the Relay Status menu, a feature to indicate how you want the switch to behave when the power returns after an outage. The options are Off, On and Maintain the status prior to the power outage. Choose the one you prefer.

Color and scene settings

Next to the light bulb icon on the home screen, you’ll find the Lamp Settings button. Click on it to select one of two tabs on the main menu: Color Mode (default) and Scene Mode. On the first one, you can slide the color circle to choose the tone you want and regulate its intensity and contrast.

The Scene Mode tab allows you to choose from eight options. To modify a scene, click on it and then on Edit to change its name, color, flash mode, or the speed of color change. Don’t forget to click on Submit when you’re done editing a scene option.

On the main page, next to the plug name, you’ll find a pencil icon. Click on it to modify any of the following items:

Smart plug: Click on the pencil to change the icon, name or location of the device.
Device information: This option shows the data related to the plug.
Tap-to-Run and automation: This option allows you to link the plug with other smart products to control them automatically by a special command.
Third-party Control: This option enables voice recognition for Alexa and Google Assistant. Offline Notifications: Tap this button to turn on and off this device’s notifications.
Share Device: Click here to share the smart plug access with family and friends.
Create Group: This option allows you to manage your device by selecting and classifying multiple devices under a single group.
Feedback: Here you can leave us a message in case any issue with the product comes up.
Add to Home Screen: Get instant access to the device from the screen of your mobile phone.
Device Update: From time to time, Nexxt Home adds new features or improves existing ones. Click here to view the update log or to choose between manual or automatic updates. We recommend Automatic Updates so that your application is always up to date.
Delete Device: This option allows you to unpair the device from the Nexxt Home app.
