Only use the waffle iron for its intended purpose and in accordance with the description given in this user guide.

The waffle iron is intended to be used in households or household-like environments, for example, in kitchenettes in hotel or motel rooms, bed and breakfasts, common areas in camp sites or other environments where food preparation occurs.

Plug the waffle iron into an approved power socket that has been correctly installed. Do not use power strips, adapters or extension cables.

The voltage of the socket must correspond to the voltage given on the waffle iron’s rating plate.

Make sure the electric cable is not in a position where someone could trip over it.

Keep the electric cable away from hot surfaces, open fires and sharp objects.
IMPORTANT! If the supply cord is damaged it must replaced by the manufacturer, supplier, it´s service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. -
Never touch the electric cable or plug if you have wet hands.
• Never immerse the waffle iron, electric cable or plug into water or any other liquid. Risk of electric shock!
• Pull the plug out of the socket when the waffle iron is not in use.
• Hold the plug when you want to pull it out of the socket – do not pull on the electric cable.
• Do not use the waffle iron outdoors.
• Apart from the heating-up time, the waffle iron must not be on when it is empty. It may overheat.
• Connect only to a grounded outlet.
• Keep an eye on the waffle iron when it is switched on. Pull the plug out of the socket when you are not using the waffle iron.
• The waffle iron gets very hot when it is on. Avoid the risk of burns by using the handle and do not touch any parts of the waffle iron when it is hot.
• Let the waffle iron cool down completely before cleaning or storing it.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
• Regularly check the condition of the waffle iron, electric cable and plug. Do not under any circumstances use the waffle iron if it is not working correctly, if you have dropped it on the floor or if it is damaged in any other way. Take the damaged waffle iron to an authorised workshop to be repaired. Do not carry out the repairs yourself! -
Put the waffle iron onto a heat-resistant surface, far away from hot objects and open flames. knowledge, unless they are supervised or are given instructions on how to use the waffle iron by a person who is responsible for their safety.

GET STARTED!
Before you start using the waffle iron you should clean it by following the steps described below.

Remove all the packaging before using it for the first time and wipe with a slightly damp cloth.
IMPORTANT! Use the waffle iron for the first time without any mix inside. -
Put the waffle iron in a location where you can fully open the lid.

Close the lid. (The lid must always be closed before switching the waffle iron on).

Put the plug into the socket. The power indicator is illuminated red and the unit begins preheating.

It takes approximately 4–5 minutes to heat up the waffle iron. The ready indicator is illuminated green when the waffle iron has heated up.

When you use it for the first time, smoke may come out of the waffle iron and it may smell. This is completely normal.

Take the plug out of the socket after the waffle iron has heated up and let it cool down. Clean the inside as described in the section on “Care and cleaning”.

The waffle iron is now ready to use.
USE
- Put the plug into the socket. The power indicator is illuminated red and the unit begins preheating.
- It takes approximately 4–5 minutes to heat up the waffle iron. The ready indicator is illuminated green when the waffle iron has heated up.
IMPORTANT! The waffle iron must be empty when heating it up.
- The heating plates have a non-stick layer, which means that you do not have to brush any fat on them for normal use. If you want to use fat, use butter or margarine ( not oil! ), for the best result.
- Pour in the waffle mix.
- Close the lid. It takes about 3–6 minutes to make a waffle (depending on what is in the mix and the amount of mix you are using).
- Remove the waffle with a spatula made of wood or heat-resistant plastic. Do not use any sharp utensils – they may damage the surface!
- If you want to make more waffles, close the lid between each one to keep the heat.
- Switch off the waffle iron by pulling the plug out of the socket after use.
CARE AND CLEANING
- Pull the plug out of the socket and let the waffle iron cool down before cleaning.
- Do not let any mix on the waffle iron dry hard. Clean the waffle iron as soon as possible after use.
- Clean the inside with a damp cloth or a soft dish brush with a mild detergent. Wipe the outside with a damp cloth.
- Do not use steel wool, a metal brush or other hard objects that might scratch the non-stick layer.

By law the product must be returned to the place of purchase along with the
original receipt in the event of a complaint. The user is liable for any
damage to the product that is caused by not using the product for its intended
purpose or by not following this user manual correctly. The right of complaint
will not apply in these instances.
ENVIRONMENT AND RECYCLING
When the product is used up, leave it for recycling according to local waste
disposal regulations. Note that the product must not be disposed of with
normal household waste.
