FAQ’s

Is this a dc amplifier or an ac one?

It works with a 12-volt wall outlet. I think it’s dc.

It is powered by 12 volts, according to the specifications. Does anyone have information on what amps? 2A? 6A? Does a power supply or adapter come with it?

There was no power supply provided. The single 6×9 speaker I powered with a 12v tap from a PC power supply has been operating flawlessly. Although I haven’t measured it, I don’t think the current pull is much more than 2A. A 2A inline fuse I installed has never blown.

What is comparable to this amp now that it is no longer available? require a car CB.

Indeed produces amplifier boards. They may have a mono amp on hand, in my opinion. Just plug in a mono amp should I come up

Can a passive subwoofer be powered by this amplifier? I want to connect an old box to a soundbar. Will this tiny gadget carry out the task for me

I’ve never tried to use it that way, so I can’t say for sure. It serves merely as a microphone for a speaker amplifier that I am utilizing. For this usage, it’s perfect.

What kind of connector is employed for power input and output? Does it have a connector that I can purchase to quickly connect a wire to it?

A 3.5 mm jack is utilized for the audio input, and a 1/4 flat push-on is used for power.

Can you run a stereo amp in mono?

The first and simplest option is to power your center speaker just through one channel of your stereo amplifier. Simply connect the speaker to the amp’s matching output while connecting the preamp’s mono center channel output to the amp’s right or left channel input.

Can you bridge a mono amp?

Since it only has one channel, a mono-block amplifier cannot be bridged. A monoblock amplifier has two outputs that can be used to connect numerous subwoofers with ease. Look at the speaker terminals to determine whether your amplifier is a monoblock or a multi-channel unit.

How does a mono amplifier work?
