INTENDED USE

This appliance is intended to cool air.
-
Only use the appliance as described in this manual.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
– farm houses;
– by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
– bed and breakfast type environments. -
This appliance is intended for indoor use only.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Any use of the appliance other than described in this manual is regarded as misuse and may cause injury, damage to the appliance and void the warranty.
IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
- Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions in this user manual before you install or use the appliance Keep this document for future reference.
- Do not use the appliance if a part is damaged or defective Replace a damaged or defective appliance immediately.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the service agent or similar qualified personnel in order to avoid a hazard.
- Keep the appliance away from heat-emitting appliances or heat sources.
- Do not use sharp or pointed objects on the appliance.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING INSTALLATION
WARNING

Do not drop the appliance and avoid bumping.

Place the appliance on a stable, flat, and moisture resistant surface.

Keep a minimum safety distance of 20 cm between the appliance and walls, curtains or other materials and objects and make sure that the air around the appliance can circulate freely.

Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight.
-
Before using the appliance, check that the voltage stated on the type plate of your appliance matches your mains voltage. Do not operate the appliance with a multi way plug adapter.

Do not leave the power cable hanging over table edges to prevent the appliance from being pulled down or knocked over. Make sure that neither the appliance nor the power cord or plug comes into contact with hot surfaces, such as hotplates or a radiator, or that they come into contact with the appliance itself.

Never place the appliance in such a way that it is at risk of falling into water or coming into contact with water resp. other liquids (e.g. in or near a sink).

Never reach for an appliance that has fallen into water or other liquids:
– Always wear dry rubber gloves to unplug the appliance before taking it out of the water.
– Do not start using the appliance again before having it checked for functionality and safety by Solis or a service center authorized by Solis. -
Do not place the appliance directly under a power outlet.

Switch off and unplug the appliance before moving the appliance.

Fully unwind the power cable before use.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING USE
WARNING
- Children must be supervised to ensure that they not play with the appliance.
- Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
- Only use the appliance with the provided accessories or accessories recommended by Solis. Incorrect accessories or misuse can lead to damage to the appliance.
- Do not move the appliance when in use.
- Do not cover the air vents when the appliance is in use.
- Do not use the cool function when the water tank is empty.
- Unplug the appliance when it is not in use.
- Do not place anything on the power cord.
- Do not cover the appliance when in use.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.
- Never pull on the power cord to unplug the appliance. Only pull on the plug.
- Always switch off the appliance before disconnecting.
- Never insert your hands or fingers into the air outlet or inlet when the appliance is switched on.
- Never change the position of the horizontal louvres when the appliance is switched on.
- Do not let hair, curtains or similar objects hang close to the appliance.
- Never use the appliance in wet or damp locations, such as bathrooms.
- Do not operate the appliance when the wheels are not attached.
- Only use the appliance in an upright position.
- Never over-humidify residential rooms. Excessive humidity of the air can damage the surroundings.
- Fill the water tank with water only. Never fill the water tank with any other liquid and do not mix any substances with the water.
- Always empty the water tank before refilling the water tank.
- Always remove the residual water from the water tank every three days and refill it.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING MAINTENANCE
WARNING
- Switch off and unplug the appliance before service and when replacing parts.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Do not use abrasive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the appliance. This can damage the appliance.
- Replace the water tank after 10 years. The plastic of the water tank ages and the water tank may start to leak.
- Choking hazard. Risk of serious internal chemical burns. Always keep button cell battery out of reach of children to reduce the chance of swallowing. Seek immediate medical attention when you suspect that a battery has been swallowed.
- Always empty the water tank before moving the appliance.

APPLIANCE DESCRIPTION
This appliance is an air cooler that uses water to cool the air. The appliance can be controlled with the control buttons and the remote control. The appliance has an automatic shutdown function that switches the appliance off after twelve hours of continuous use.

BEFORE FIRST USE
To prepare the appliance before first use:
- Remove all packaging and stickers except the type plate.
- Pull the battery tab from the remote control 5.
INSTALLATION
To install the appliance:
- Place the appliance on a stable, flat, and moisture resistant surface.
- If you want to use the cool function, fill the water tank with water. To fill the water tank, see chapter Filling the water tank.
- Plug the power cable 7 into a power outlet. The appliance beeps twice and the LED display 1 lights up for one second.
FILLING THE WATER TANK
To fill the water tank:
-
Pull the water tank 14 out of the appliance (see image C).
Fill the water tank with water only. Never fill the water tank with any other liquid and do not mix any substances with the water. -
Fill the water tank 14 with water. Check if the water level in the water tank is in between the MIN and MAX indicator.

Optionally, put ice into the ice cube compartment 13 (see image D).

Place back the water tank 14.
USING THE APPLIANCE
To use the appliance:
Never change the position of the horizontal louvres when the appliance is
switched on.
The position of the horizontal louvres can be changed manually. To do
this, use the lever at the left side of the middle louvre.
A relative humidity of 40-50% is recommended while using the appliance.
- Press the ON/OFF button 20 to switch on the appliance. The appliance switches on at medium speed and then switches to low speed. The corresponding speed indicator 15 switches on.
- Press the ON/OFF button 20 to switch off the appliance.
If the appliance is not switched off manually, the appliance automatically switches off after 12 hours.
SETTING THE FAN SPEED
The appliance has three fan speed settings; low, medium and high. To change the speed of the fan:
- Press the SPEED button 21 to change the speed of the fan. The corresponding speed indicator 15 lights up.
USING THE DIMMER FUNCTION
To use the dimmer function with the control buttons:
- Press the MODE button 24 to switch on the dimmer function. The dimmer light 26 switches on. All other light elements switch off. After 3 seconds the dimmer light switches off.
- Press the MODE button 24 to switch off the dimmer function. The light elements switch on again.
To use the dimmer function with the remote control:
- Press the LIGHT button 26 to switch on the dimmer function. The dimmer light 18 switches on. After 3 seconds the dimmer light switches off.
- Press the LIGHT button 26 to switch off the dimmer function. The light elements switch back on.
USING THE CHILD LOCK
To use the child lock function with the control buttons:
- Press the MODE button 24 for 2 seconds to switch on the child lock function. The buttons of the appliance and the remote control 5 are now locked. The child lock light 17 lights up.
- Press the MODE button 24 for 2 seconds to switch off the child lock function. The buttons of the appliance and the remote control 5 are active again.
To use the child lock function with the remote control:
- Press the MODE button 24 to switch on the child lock function. The buttons of the appliance and the remote control 5 are now locked. The child lock light 17 lights up.
- Press the MODE button 24 to switch off the child lock function. The buttons of the appliance and the remote control 5 are accessible again.
USING THE OSCILLATION FUNCTION
To use the oscillation function:
- Press the OSC button 22 to switch on the oscillation function. The vertical louvres on the air outlet 4 swivel back and forth. The oscillation light 16 lights up.
USING THE TIMER FUNCTION
To use the timer function:
- Press the TIMER button 23 to switch on timer function. The LED display 1 shows 0 and a clock icon.
- Press the TIMER button 23 multiple times to adjust the timer. The maximum timer setting is 8 hours.
- When the LED display 23 shows 0, the timer deactivates.
USING THE COOL FUNCTION
To use the cooling function:
-
Press the COOL button 25 to switch on the cool function. The cool light 19 lights up on and the pump starts.
If, when the cooling function is activated, the water level drops below approx. 1/4 of the tank, a warning signal sounds. The cooling function switches off and the appliance continues to run without the cooling function.
When the water tank is empty, the pump switches off after 15 seconds. The appliance beeps three times and the COOL indicator dims. -
To switch off the cool function, press the COOL button 25 or the ON/OFF button 20 , to switch off the appliance. When the cool function is switched off, let the fan run for 5 minutes, to dry the evaporation mat. The cool light 19 blinks. After this overrun time, the appliance and the cooling indicator switches off.
**** If there is too little water in the water tank (less than 1/4 of the tank), the pump switches off after 15 seconds. After another 5 seconds, the pump switches on again for 15 seconds. If there is still too little water in the water tank (less than 1/4 of the tank), a warning signal sounds. The pump switches off and the cooling light goes out.
CLEANING AND CARE
We recommend cleaning the appliance regularly and at least once a week if using the cool function. To clean the appliance:

Switch off and unplug the appliance.
-
Clean the appliance with a slightly damp cloth.
-
Dry the appliance with a soft, dry cloth.To clean the air filter:
****We recommend cleaning the air filter every two months. -
Press down the click fingers of the air filter 11 and remove the air filter (see image E).

Clean the air filter 11 with mild detergent and a soft brush.
-
Dry the air filter 11.
-
Place back the air filter 11.
****We recommend the use of a water filter (order no. 700.84) to prevent calcification of the appliance. Please place the water filter in the ice cube compartment of the appliance. The water filter should be replaced 1 x (for water hardness below 25 fH) or 2 x (for water hardness above 25 fH) per season.
To clean the water tank: -
Remove the water tank 14 from the appliance.
-
Clean the water tank 14 with mild detergent and a soft brush.
-
Dry the water tank 14 with a clean, dry cloth.
-
Place back the water tank 14.
**** The honeycomb evaporation mat (art. no.: 770.19) should be replaced depending on the wear and tear, but at least once a year.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
To replace the battery in the remote control:
- Pull the battery holder 27 out of the remote control 5.
- Insert the battery into the battery holder 27 and pay attention to the correct polarity.
- Place back the battery holder 27 into the remote control 5.
STORAGE
Store the completely dry appliance in the original packaging in a dry and enclosed space.

TROUBLESHOOTING

household waste. It must be taken to special local community waste collection
centres or to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of electrical and

savings in energy and resources. In order to underline the duty to dispose of
this equipment separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out dustbin.
