Usage options
Contact grilling:
Plates rest directly on top of food.
Excess fat runs into the collection tray.

Inserting the plates

The plates are easiest to change in the position.

  1. Bottom plate:
Slide bottom grill plate into retention catches at a slight angle, then lower plate and engage by pushing the button on the left-hand side.

  2. Top plate:
Slide top plate into retention hooks at a slight angle and engage by pressing the button on the front side.
Always ensure that the fat collection tray is inserted into the bottom part.

  3. Raise the slider to < LOCK for transport or vertical storage.

Before initial use:
Grease the grilling surface lightly before using for the first time. Then heat up the grill for ten minutes at the maximum setting with the grill closed and empty. Then wipe the plates with a damp cloth.
Important note
Cold-pressed oils, such as olive oil should not be used as dripping as these oils have a poor quality at high temperatures.
Due to the high grill temperatures (up to 250°C), residues of oil, juices, herbs, etc. build up on the hot grill surface and the non-stick effect decreases. It is hard or impossible to remove these residues from the grilling plate.
Therefore, only use heat-resistant oils!Steba FG 100 Electronic Contact
