IK 50 Induction Cooker
Product Information
The Steba Induktion IK 50 is an induction cooktop designed for household use only. It features pot recognition and automatic switch off when there is no pot on the appliance. The cooktop heats up the pot bottom directly using electromagnetic fields, which makes it up to 50% more energy-efficient and up to 30% faster than traditional cooktops. The appliance has a display that shows the power, temperature, and time settings, as well as buttons for adjusting these settings. The cooktop has a safety shutdown feature and is usable with enamelled or induction suitable pots with a minimum diameter of 12cm.
Product Usage Instructions
- Place the induction cooktop on a flat, stable surface.
- Plug the appliance into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Place a suitable pot/pan with a minimum diameter of 12cm in the middle of the plate.
- Press the On/Off button to turn on the cooktop.
- Use the plus/minus button to adjust the temperature and the power button to adjust the wattage.
- Set the timer using the timer button if required.
- After using the cooktop, unplug it from the electrical outlet and let it cool down before cleaning.
- Clean the cooktop with a soft cloth or sponge and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or materials that could scratch the surface of the cooktop.

- Do not wear any metallic objects when using the cooktop and do not place any magnetic cards or other magnetic devices on it.
- Do not use pots made from Aluminum, copper, glass, ceramic and partly stainless steel as they are not suitable for induction cooking.
- Do not use the cooktop if the pot bottom is too thin or bended.
- Unplug the cooktop after use and do not touch the surface until it has cooled down.

Usable pots:

Usable are enamelled or induction suitable pots, with a diameter of min 12cm.To test, if the pots are suitable, can be simply tested with a magnet.
If the magnet keep stick to the pot botton, it is suitable. -
Not suitable are pots made from Aluminum, copper, glass, ceramic and partly stainless steel.

The pot bottom should be not too thin and not bended.

- The appliance can get hot. Only transport after cooling down.
- The appliance must not be used with an external Timer or any other remote con-trol.
- Danger. Appliance can get hot. Danger of burns!!
- Never put pots, set of instruments or any other metallic parts on the appliance. These parts could get very hot, when the cooker is turned on. Never heat up closed metallic cans. They could explode. The glass surface could show residual heat from the heated pots.
- Never carry, when there are still pots or pans on it.
- Never put more than 5 kg on the top of the plate.
- Never use the appliance without supervision.
- Never use the appliance near to magnetic sensible items (e.g. magnetic cards etc.)
- Do not operate the device on any metal table because this may cause potential serious danger to users and the appliance itself.
Implementing
- Plug the power plug into a suitable outlet and an acoustic signal sounds. While plug on, the LED displays the temperature of induction cooker glass. When temperature lowers than 50°C, displaying „-L-“. When temperature is higher than 50°C, displaying „-H-“.
- Place suitable cookware in the centre of the hotplate.
- Now press the AN/STANDBY switch once to turn the induction hotplate on. The control lamps of “STUFE” and “TEMP.” blink and an acoustic signal sounds, the “-L-” or “-H-” in the display disappears. (NOTE: should no further operation in 30 seconds after pressing AN/STANDBY key, the control lamps of “STUFE” and “ TEMP.” go off, the unit goes back to standby status automatically and the display shows “-L-” or “-H-” again. To re-operate the unit, simply press ON/STANDBY key once and other function keys.)
Power
The pot should be placed on the appliance.
Press the „AN/STANDBY“ button. In the display “Stufe” is flashing. When there
is no adjustment within ca. 1min then the appliance returns to the stand-by
modus.
Press the button “Stufe”(= means Power) and in the display you can see 5.\
With the rotary knob the Wattage can be adjusted.
1 = 900 Watt 2 = 915 Watt 3 = 915 Watt 4 = 950 Watt 5 = 1180 Watt
6 = 1290 Watt 7 = 1450 Watt 8 = 1550 Watt 9 = 1750 Watt 10 = 2000 Watt

All Power steps should be used to cook water or soups. If meat or vegetables should be roasted, then the temperature function should be used to achieve a good result.
Temperature
This function should be used to roast meat or vegetables. Place the pot on the
appli-ance. Press the „AN/STANDBY“ button. Then press the temperature button 2
times. In the display appears 120°C. By turning the rotary knob the
temperature can be adjusted from 60-240°C. The build in sensor keeps the
temperature at the adjusted temperature. If the overheat temperature sensor
switches the appliance off then the displays shows E05. The appliance should
then be cooled down for short time and can be restarted.
Important: It is only possible to adjust either temperature or Power.
Both together are not possible.
It is always possible to switch during cooking from Temperature to Power, even
when the Timer is set. In the display the lights show what is adjusted
Timer Setting
- Adjust as described before the Power or Temperature. Then press the Timer button.
- In the display “0” is shown. Now you have ca 5sec time to adjust the in 5min steps from 0-180min upwards and in 1 min steps back. When there is no adjustment within 5 sec the display returns to the chosen function. If this happens please redo the described procedure.
- Should the time be adjusted during the appliance is working and the Timer is wor-king then press 1x the Timer button. At the display the Timer light is on. Now you have ca 5 sec time to adjust the time with the rotary knob. After ca 5 sec the display Temperature and Timer or Power and Timer until the time runs out and the appliance returns to the stand by modus.
- By pressing the „AN/STANDBY“ button the program can be deleted. If no or a not suitable pot is put on the appliance and adjust the Temperature or Power then a bee- ping sound can be heard every 2 sec and at the display 3 lines are shown. The fan is working. After a certain time (ca 15sec) the appliance returns to the stand-by modus.
Safety switch off:
Was the time not adjusted and the appliance is used in the „Power“ or
„Tempera-ture“ function, the appliance will switch off automatically 120 min
after the last button was pressed.
Cleaning :
- Clean the a ∙ ppliance after each use.
- Pull the plug and wait until the appliance completely cooled down.
- When pots are used which have not a clean button, decoloring and burning in on the glass surface can occur.
- Use a damp cloth and some detergent for cleaning.
- Never use abrasive cleaners, metal wool or thinners for cleaning.
- If the air inlets are covered with dust, remove the dust with a vacuum cleaner.
- Never spill water on the glass top or immerse the appliance in water.
Disposal:
Packaging disposal:
Do not throw away the package materials. Please put it in the recycling bin.
Gift box: Paper, should be put to the old paper collection point.
Plastic packaging material and foils should be collected in the special
collection containers.

To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.
