Steba HK20 Electric Hob

This appliance is for private and indoor use only and must not be used commercially. Please read the instruction manual carefully and keep it at a safe place. When the appliance is given to another person the instruction manual should be passed to that person, too. Only use the appliance as described in the instruction manual and pay attention to the safety information. No liability for damages or accidents will be accepted, which are caused by not paying attention to the instruction manual.

Do not plug with wet hands.

Do not plug into a socket where several other appliances are plugged in.

Do not use if the plug cord is damaged or when the power plug does not fit the socket securely.

Do not modify the parts, or repair the unit by yourself.

Do not use the unit near a flame or wet places.

The appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above and persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience/knowledge, provided that are supervised or have been provided with instruction in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the resulting dangers.
Children must not use the packaging as a toy. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are 8 years or older and are supervised. -
Children under the age of 8 must be kept away from the appliance and the connecting cable.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance or packaging material (e.g. Plastic Bags).

The appliance must not be operated using a timer or a separate remote system!

Do not place on unstable surfaces.

Do not carry the unit when the pot or the pan is on it.

Do not heat the pot empty or overheat it.
-
Do not place metallic objects such as knifes, forks, spoons, lids, cans, and aluminum foils on the top plate.

Use the unit with sufficient space around it. Keep the front side and either right or left side of the unit clear.

Never use the unit on carpet or tablecloth (viny1) or any other low-heat-resistant article.

If the surface is cracked, switch off and take to the service center immediately.

Do not block air intake or exhaust vent.

Attention! Danger of burns! Do not touch the top plate shortly after removing the pot or the pan, as the top plate will still be very hot.

The supply cord must by replaced by qualified technicians.

The appliance is not suitable to be used with an external timer or a separate remote control.
How to Clean
- Disconnect plug.
- If the pots/pans are used without being cleaned, discoloration or cooked on stains may be caused.
- Do not use petrol, thinner, scrubbing brush or polishing power to clean the induction cooker.
- Wipe using dish washing agent and damp cloth.
- Use vacuum cleaner to suck up dirt from the air intake and exhaust vent.
- Never run water over the unit. (water gets inside may cause malfunction).
Usage
Plug the appliance into a grounded socket. All indicators are illuminated.
The child lock is activated automatically.
The child lock will be deactivated by pressing it for more than 3 sec.
Press the ON/OFF button , the cooling fan starts and in the display can be
seen 10.
The large cooking area will be heated.
The power can be changed by pressing .
If the small cooking area should be used, then press .

The plate gets very hot. The residual heat light is illuminated and the
cooling fan is working. Do not remove the plug from the socket until the
cooling fan stops by itself.
To adjust the Timer the button should be touched. By touching the button for a
short time the time is changed in steps of one minute. If the button is
touched for a longer time then the timer changes in steps of 10min up to a max
of two hours.
If the time is not changed within 5 seconds the timer function will be deleted
and it must be restarted.
With the button the child lock can be activated. Should the child lock be
deactivated then the button must be touched for three seconds.

To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.
Packaging disposal: Do not throw away the package materials. Please put it in the recycling bin.
Gift box: Paper, should be put to the old paper collection point.
Plastic packaging material and foils should be collected in the special
collection containers.
