Product Information: Luftreiniger LR5

The Luftreiniger LR5 is an air purifier that is equipped with a high efficient filter system. It has adjustable speed, a timer function, and a negative ion feature. The appliance comes with a remote control and a memory function that saves the last adjustments made before the device was switched off.

Structure of the High-Efficient Filter System

The filter system can neutralize harmful environmental gases and remove harmful substances from the air, such as dust and bacteria.
The active carbon filter is already active at room temperature.

Filter Replacement

To replace the filter, follow these steps:

1. Pull with two hands carefully at the front cover, until it is opening and lift it upwards.
2. Remove the front cover and the filter.
3. Press the filter first at the top inside and then down in the appliance. Take care, that the polybag was removed before. The white leashes must show to the front lower side after the filter was inserted.
4. When putting the cover back on the appliance put the lower part first inside and then press the cover gently to the housing until it is correctly inserted.

Product Usage

To use the Luftreiniger LR5, follow these steps:

1. Read the safety instructions and keep them for future reference.
2. Before first use, familiarize yourself with the equipment and function of the device.
3. To start the device, press the On/Off switch. The appliance will start with the lowest power and the Speed sign will be at the top of the display.
4. To increase air output, press the speed switch one or two times until the desired speed is reached. The display will show the adjusted speed.
5. To set a timer, press the timer switch. Each press will increment the time by one hour. After adjusting the time, it will start counting down by minutes until it stops the device after the last minute. The time remaining will be shown on the display.
6. To activate negative ions, press the negative ion switch. The appliance will produce negative ions and it will be shown on the display.
7. The device comes with a remote control that can be used to adjust settings from a distance. The remote control should be used within a reasonable distance with no obstacles in between and at an appropriate angle.
8. The device has a memory function that saves the last adjustments made before it was switched off. When turned on again, the same adjustments will be displayed.

• The device is for use in the home only
• The device is only to be connected to the mains with a voltage that corresponds to the information on the label
• Switch off and unplug the device before cleaning and maintenance of any kind
• Always remove the plug by pulling on the plug and not on the cable
• Do not touch the connection cable with wet hands
• Do not put the ground device under running water or dip it into water
• Never leave the device unattended and pay particular attention with regard to children
• Check the supply from time to time for damage. In order to avoid risks, damaged supply leads should only be changed by qualified personnel.
• Remove the plug when not in use
• The device is only intended for the use described here. If the device is used for purposes for which it was not intended, or used incorrectly, no responsibility for any damage will be taken
• Never use the device on or near to hot surfaces
• Place the device on a firm even surface. Ensure that there is sufficient space around the device to guarantee correct ventilation.
• Do not place sharp metal objects or fingers in the air outlet
• Remove the plug before changing the filter
• Do not use the device in the bathroom or a room with a high level of air humidity
• Only operate the device if the filter is correctly inserted and the frontage is closed
• Do not sit on the device or place objects on it
• Do not use next to open flames to avoid fire
• Do not spray anything into the device

Equipment and usage

Negative Ions:
A special feature of this air cleaner is, that it can produce negative ions. Plenty of negative ions can be found in the nature, like at water falls, forests, mountains and at the sea. Negative ions can be useful to support the human feeling. This air cleaner is equipped with a ion generator, which can produce many negative ions by charging.

Advanced Filter System:
A feature of this appliance us the 4 level filter system, which consists of a PP-filter, HEPA filter, cold catalyse filter and a active carbon filter.

1. PP-Filter

PP Filter (Prefilter) can filter out dust and bacteria which are bigger than 20µm out of the air. It additionally helps to keep the HEPA filter more clean for a longer duration.

2. HEPA-Filter

The HEPA filter can remove efficient dust, pollen and bakteria bigger than 0,3µm and is therefore producing clean air.

3. Cold Catalyse-Filter

This filter can neutralize harmfull gases from the environment. It is already active at room temperature.

4. Active Carbon Filter
   This filter can eleminate harmful substances like dust and bakteria.

Adjustable Speed
If you switch on the air cleaner with the On/Off, the appliance starts with the lowest power and the sign Speed is at the top of the display. When more air is needed, press the speed switch one or two times, then the air output is put to medium or maximum . This is shown in the display

12h Timer Adjustment
The basic unit is 1h. By pressing the timer switch one time, the time is incremented by 1h. After the time was adjusted, the time is going dwon by minutes and stops the device after the last minute. The time is shown in the display.

Negative Ionen knob
If anions are needed, press the negative ion switch. The appliance is producing negative ions and it is shown in the display.

remote control
The appliance is equipped with a remote control. The distance between the remote control and the appliance should be not too big and no obstacles should be in between and the angle should be not too big.

Memory Function:
The last adjustments will be safed when the appliance is switched off. When you turn the appliance on again, the same adjustments will be on the display.

Disposal

Packaging disposal:
Do not throw away the package materials. Please put it in the recycling bin.

Gift box: Paper, should be put to the old paper collection point. Plastic packaging material and foils should be collected in the special collection containers.
