Brief Introduction
There are two ways to connect the App to light, and they are all switched by the “WIFI” button on the light body: Press the WIFI button once to enter the STA router mode, and press the WIFI button for 6 seconds to restore the AP mode.
STA Mode:
This method requires a router to be connected, and this pairing method does not affect the network usage of the mobile phone.
Steps:
- Connect the mobile phone to the router WIFI
- Press the “WIFI” button on the light once to enter the STA mode
- Open APP—>Settings—>WIFI Settings— >Smart Configuration—>Enter the password of the router—>show “connection successful”
- Click “Search” on the APP page, and re-tick the circle behind the WIFI name (there will be the WIFI name number on the light), and it will display “Connected successfully”
- Click “<” in the upper left corner of the APP page to return to the home page.
AP Mode(spontaneous signal )
This method does not need to connect to the home router, because the WIFI
signal is sent directly from the light.
The advantage of this connection method is that it can be used indoors and
outdoors, but the disadvantage is that the mobile phone is only used as a
remote control, and cannot access the Internet and use data.
Steps:
-
Each light has a WIFI number starting with “BOLTZEN”, take a look first
-
The light is in AP mode by default. If the current state of the light changes to STA mode, press and hold the WIFI button to restore to AP mode before proceeding to step 3.
-
Turn on the phone, connect to the WIFI signal starting with “BOLTZEN”, wait for about 50 seconds after connection, until the WIFI connection is successful.
(Note: Make sure that the WIFI connection status is in a normal state and you can see the WIFI logo. Because some mobile phones will automatically switch to other networks, so you can’t proceed to the next step.) -
Open the APP, click “Search” on the page, re-tick the circle behind the WIFI name beginning with “BOLTZEN”, and display “Connected successfully”
-
Click “<” in the upper left corner of the APP page to return to the home page.
Summary
- First judge whether the current light is in AP mode or STA mode, and then use the connection mode you want
- If you encounter a situation where the signal cannot be searched, please turn off the power and restart the light, and wait patiently.
- Sometimes the APP shows that it is connected, and the LCD screen behind the light is on but the light is not on. This may be because the brightness of the light is set to 0, which can be solved by turning the “DIMMER” knob to adjust the brightness.
