Overview
Rear Panel Feature Descriptions
- 48V – Connect the included power supply
- LAN – Connect to the internet router
- PoE Ports – Connect to the PoE IP Cameras
- USB – Connect the included mouse
- HDMI® – Connect to a monitor via an HDMI® connection
- VGA – Connect to a monitor via a VGA connection
- Alarm – Connect to an external alarm output device such as a strobe or siren
- Sensor (8~1, G) – Connect to external alarm sensors
- Audio Out – Connect to speakers
- Audio In – Connect to a microphone
- RS485 – Connect to an RS485 device
Hard Drive Installation
- Connect the data and power cables to the hard drive.
- Carefully flip the NVR and secure the hard drive with screws (4 screws for each hard drive).
CAUTION: DO NOT install or remove the hard drive while the unit is powered on.
Startup Wizard
Click the Start Wizard to proceed to the next step.
NOTE: Screen images in this manual are simulated.
Network Configuration
- DHCP – Recommended for first time setup. An empty IP address will be assigned to the NVR. Disable DHCP to use a static IP address and fill in the Subnet Mask, Gateway, DNS1, and DNS2.
- IP Address – Set IP address.
- Subnet Mask – Set subnet mask.
- Gateway – Set gateway.
- DNS1 – Set primary DNS server.
- DNS2 – Set secondary DNS server.
- Web Port – Default: 80
- Client Port – Default: 9000
- RTSP Port – Default: 554
- UPNP – Set On/Off.
Date/Time
- Date – Click on the calendar icon to set the date.
- Time – Set time.
- Date Format – Choose the date format.
- Time Format – Choose the time format.
- Time Zone – Set the time zone.
NTP
- Enable NTP – Enable synchronizing the date and time automatically over the Internet.
- Server Address – Select the server to synchronize the date and time.
DST
- Enable DST – Enable the Daylight Saving Time function.
- Time Offset – Select the amount of time offset.
- DST Mode – Choose to set the DST in weeks or days.
- Start Time/End Time – set the Start Time and End Time for DST.
IP Camera
This menu allows you to add an IP camera (IPC) to the NVR by searching for compatible cameras on the same network. Make sure you have the correct information from the IPC, such as the username and password, before entering them into the NVR.
Disk
For the first-time setup, the HDD must be formatted. Select the HDD and then click Format HDD.
- Overwrite – Overwrite the oldest recordings on the HDD when HDD is full.
- Record on ESATA – Does not apply and is disabled.
Resolution
Choose the output resolution to match the monitor’s resolution.
