Product Information
The SK-100164 is a multi-chemistry charger that comes with a built-in power supply. It supports LiPo, LiFe, and LiHV battery types and can charge 2-3 cell batteries. The charger has a charge current or capacity indicator and a battery type indicator. The charger comes with a 2S balance port and a 3S balance port. The recommended charge rate is 1C, which means the capacity value should be equal to the charge current.
Product Usage Instructions
- Insert the AC power cord into the charger.
- Insert the AC cord into a wall socket (100-240V). All LEDS will light for one second, then the battery type LED (default LiPo) and the charge current LED (default 1A) will glow constant white.
- Connect the battery balance wire to the balance port in front of the charger and select the battery type (LiPo/LiFe/LiHV) by pressing the BATT button.
- Select the proper charging current (0.5A/1A/1.5A/2.2A) by pressing the circular button. You can choose a 2.2A current to charge the battery if the battery has a capacity of 2200mAh.
- The charger starts charging. The charge status LED will glow to indicate charging is in progress. The capacity indicator LED flash shows the charge current you set.
- When the battery is fully charged, the charge status LED will glow constant WHITE. Unplug the battery from the charger and press the circular button once, the charger will be ready to charge another battery.
- If you want to stop charging during the charging process, press the circular button once.
- If the charger encounters a problem, all LEDs will flash white to alert you of the errors. In this case, please disconnect the power cord from the wall socket and unplug the battery from the charger.
LED Status Explanation
- Capacity 25% – capacity indicator LED flashing once every second
- Capacity 50% – capacity indicator LED flashing twice every second
- Capacity 75% – capacity indicator LED flashing three times every second
- Capacity 100% – capacity indicator LED flashing four times every second
Error Message
If the charger encounters a problem, all LEDs will flash white to alert you
of the errors. In this case, please disconnect the power cord from the wall
socket and unplug the battery from the charger. The followings are the
blinking times and their corresponding problems:
- All LEDs flash white once and stop two seconds in the cycle – The charging time is longer than 120min
- All LEDs flash white twice and stop two seconds into the cycle – The voltage of one cell in the battery pack is too low
- All LEDs flash white three times and stop two seconds in the cycle – The voltage of one cell in the battery pack is too high

INTRODUCTION
Thank you for your choice of the SKYRC e3 Duo, 100-240V AC balance charger. This unit is simple to use but its operation does require some knowledge on the part of the user. Please read this entire operating manual completely and attentively before using this product, as it covers a wide range of information on operating and safety.
SKYRC e3 Duo Charger is an economical, high-quality 100-240V AC balance charger, designed for charging LiPo, LiFe, and LiHV batteries from 2-3 cells in balance mode. The circuit power is 20W for each channel and the max charge current can reach 2.2A. There are four kinds of charge current 0.5A/1A/1.5A/2.2A that can be selected. You could select the proper charge current according to battery capacity.
OPERATION
SKYRC e3 Duo comes with a built-in power supply. You can connect the AC power cord to the AC socket (100-240V AC) directly.
CAUTION:
This diagram shows the correct way to connect your battery to the e3 Duo
charger while charging in balance mode.
Please refer to the following steps to charge the battery
-
Insert the AC power cord into the charger.
-
Insert the AC cord into a wall socket (100-240V). All LEDS will light for one second, then the battery type LED(default LiPo) and the charge current LED(default 1A) will glow constant white.
-
Connect the battery balance wire to the balance port which is in the front side of the charger, select the battery type LiPo/LiFe/LiHV by pressing the “BATT” button.
-
Select the proper charging current 0.5A/1A/1.5A/2.2A by pressing the circular button.
The recommended charge rate is 1C (battery capacity = charge current). 1C means: capacity value = charge current.
Example: LiPo cell of 2200mAh Capacity; 1C=2200mA (=2.2A) charge current. You can choose 2.2A current to charge the battery. -
The charger starts charging. The charge status LED will glow to indicate charging is in progress.
EXPLAINATION OF LED STATUS
Remark:
The capacity indicator LED flash times show the charge current you set.
- 0.5A Flashes white ONCE and stop 1 second in the cycle.
- 1.0A Flashes white TWICE and stop 1 second in the cycle.
- 1.5A Flashes white THREE TIMES and stops 1 second in the cycle.
- 2.2A Flashes white FOUR TIMES and stops 1 second in the cycle.
When the battery is fully charged, the charge status LED will glow constant WHITE. Unplug the battery from the charger and press the circular button once, the charger will be ready to charge another battery.
