Read this manual carefully before operating the unit
Every effort is made to improve our products continuously. Therefore, technical data and figures are subject to change.
Unit
The lightweight tiller is equipped with a high-efficient 4-stroke engine. A rugged design for light to medium heavy soils is ideal for tilling close- planted crops. Please extra-silent and steady run. A tiller of special steel, only little wearable provides for good cost-effectiveness. A special shape of blades provides for thrifty and efficient tilling. The machine is easily operated by use of a turning guide wheel. The unit is turned on when the start-up button is pressed (the tiller will run upon pressing the button in rest state).

General Safety Instructions

Prior to the initial use of the unit, the operating instructions should be read completely. If in doubt with regard to connection and operation of the unit, consult the manufacturer (Servicing Department)
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW CAREFULLY IN ORDER TO SECURE A HIGH DEGREE OF SAFETY:
CAUTION!

  1. Pay attention to the conditions of the area, which you’re working in. After the engine is started, power machine will produce poisonous gas. The gas may be invisible and odorless. Hence never work with the machine in closed or poorly ventilated areas. Provide for good lighting when cutting. Provide for stability when cutting in wet, snow or icy weather conditions on slopes or rough ground.

  2. Do not let any unauthorized persons approach the machine. The visitors and viewers, primarily the children, the ill and infirm persons should not have any access to the working area. Don’t let other persons touch the machine.

  3. Make provision for the tools storage. When the machine is not being used, it should be kept in a dry place, elevated or locked so that any access to the machine is prevented.

  4. Always use the correct tool for the job to be done. E.g. avoid using small tools and accessories for work that should be performed with a heavy tool. Use the tools only for the purposes they were designed for.

  5. Pay attention to adequate clothing. The clothing should fit the purpose and should not put any limits to you when working.

  6. Use personal protection equipment. Wear safety shoes with steel toes and antiskid or rough sole.

  7. Wear goggles. Object may be thrown against you.

  8. Wear ear protectors. Wear personal protective equipment to protect your ears, such as ear protectors.

  9. Hand protection. Wear hard gloves-gloves of chrome tanned side leather give a good protection.

  10. Transport. The tiller should be always transported with the driving wheel in transport position. Make sure that nobody is exposed to risk when the tiller is put out of service. Secure the unit against tilting, damage and fuel leakage.

  11. Remove the wrench etc. Any wrenches/spanners etc. must be removed before the tiller is put on.

  12. Be attentive any time. Mind what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not use the tiller when tired. Never work with the crusher when influence by alcohol, drugs or medicaments affecting the concentration capability.

  13. Refueling. Always switch the engine off before refueling. Open the tank closure carefully for overpressure run out slowly and the fuel ejection is prevented. When working with the tiller, the unit body temperature increased. Let the unit cool down before refueling. Otherwise, the fuel could ignite and persons get burnt. Beware of overfilling the tank. If there is a spill, remove it and clean the unit. After finishing the refueling, make sure the screwed closure is tight to avoid loosening in result of vibrations.

  14. Watch out for any damaged parts. Inspect the machine before use. Are any parts damaged? Ask yourself seriously when detecting slight damage whether the machine will work perfectly and safely despite that. Watch out for proper aligning and adjustment of any moving parts. Are the parts tightly connected with each other? Is any part damaged? Is everything installed as appropriate? Are any other prerequisites of proper working in place? Damaged protective devices etc. must be repaired or replaced by authorized entitles unless the operation manual expressly says otherwise.
    Any defective switches must be replaced at an authorized servicing centre. Do not use the machine if it cannot be put on and off with the switch. When repairs are necessary, kindly turn to your local servicing centre.

  15. Switch the engine off before any adjustment and maintenance. That applies to the blades replacement in the first place.

  16. Use approved parts only. Use only identical spare parts for maintenance and repairs. Request advice of an authorized servicing centre for this purpose.

Emergency action
Apply the first aid adequate to the injury and get qualified medical assistance as quickly as possible. Protect the injured person from more accidents and calm him/her down.
Intended use
The unit is designed only for regular use in agriculture, forestry, and horticulture and area treatment. The manufacturer shall not be held liable for any personal and material losses due to a failure to observe these rules.

Transportation and storage

  • The unit must only be transported if the engine is turned off.
  • Clean the unit thoroughly before putting in in storage.
  • Store the unit at a dry clean place.
    **** Fuel or oil may leak at transport. Secure the unit as appropriate and take preventive action to protect the environment against contamination.

  • Refuel outdoors only!
  • Never refuel with the engine running or while it is still hot!
  • Do not smoke and do not handle open fire!

Engine oil filling
Use only oil type 15W40
Use oil dip rod to check the filling status.

** Avoid fuel or oil splashing so that soil contamination is avoided. Use appropriate tools for filling (funnel).
Safety instruction for first time operation
Always make sure that the screwed parts are tight as appropriate and use only the parts included in the delivery.
Procedure**
Assemble separate parts in the correct order as shown. Make sure that structural parts are arranged as shown in the figures.
The unit is delivered without oil and fuel. Fill in the liquids according to specifications.

Guiding the wheel in the work position Put the wheel in position 1 for tilling.
CAUTION!
Transport the unit with the wheel in position 2.
The wheel should be adjusted with engine off only!

Cutting height setting
Shifting the depth limiter shall set up the required depth of tilling. 3 different positions are possible.
Switching unit on/off

With the driving lever tripped, the drive will be off but the engine will still be on. The engine may be switched off with the switch in OFF position (Fig. 15)
Operator safety instructions

  • Do not use the machine until you have read the instruction manual carefully.

  • Observe all safety instructions included in the manual.

  • Be especially careful while operating the machine when other persons are nearby.

  • The unit is equipped with a foot-operated brake than stops the blades within 3 seconds after the drive lever trips. Never attempt to stop or tilt the unit with the blades still rotating. Wait for the blades to completely stop rotating.

  • If the blades come into contact with foreign objects, stop the engine immediately, wait for the blades to completely stop rotating and check the unit for damage. Continue working only if no damage is detected on the unit.

  • Walk while working and do not run.

  • Always walk forward only. Never pull the unit walking backwards.

  • When working on a slope, always work across, never down and up. Be particularly careful when changing direction.

  • When travelling across no-grass areas and transferring the unit from the work area to another one, the blades must not be operating.
    Step-by-step instructions

    1. Fill in the fuel (see chapter ”Assembly and first time operation”)
    2. Clear any foreign objects from the land.
    3. Spud the land until the soil is sufficiently loose.
    4. Clean the unit thoroughly after every use.

Troubleshooting

Inspection and maintenance

Inspection and maintenance safety instructions
The machine will function properly only if maintained and cared for appropriately. Insufficient maintenance and care may result in accidents and injuries.

  • Prior to any works on the unit, always switch the engine off and pull the spark plug socket out!
  • Never use aggressive detergents for cleaning. That could result in damage or destruction of the unit.

The machinery have been manufactured according to strict standards set by our company, which are aligned with the respective european quality standards. The diesel and gasoline powered machines are provided with a warranty period of 24 months for non-professional use and 12 months for professional use. The warranty is valid from the date of purchase of the product. Proof of the warranty right is the purchase document of the machine (retail receipt or invoice). Under no circumstances shall the company cover the relevant cost of spare parts and respective required working hours unless a copy of the purchase document is presented. In case the repair has to be done by our service department the cost of transportation (to and from) is entirely borne by the sender (client). The said machines must be sent for repair to the company or to an authorized workshop in the appropriate way and means of transport.

WARRANTY EXEMPTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS:

  1. Spare parts that wear out naturally as a consequence of being used (blade, chain, recoil starter, spark plug, trimmer line etc.).
  2. Machinery damaged as a result of non-compliance with the instructions of the manufacturer.
  3. Machinery poorly maintained or taken care of.
  4. Use of improper spare parts or accessories.
  5. Machinery given to third enties free of charge.
  6. Storing the machine with fuel.
  7. Damage as a result of mistaken assembly.
  8. Damage as a result of mixing of fuel with machine oil by mistake.
  9. Damage as a result of poor quality of fuel or lubricant.
  10. Damage as a result of not cleaning the generator as required.
  11. Equipment that has been modified or disassembled by unauthorized personnel.
  12. Equipment used for rent.

The warranty covers only the free of charge replacement of the component that presents a manufacturing defect or material failure. In case of lack of a specific spare part the company reserves the right to replace the machine with another of the same kind. Affer all warranty procedures have been concluded, the warranty period of the machine shall not be extended or renewed. The spare parts or machinery that are replaced remain in the possession of our company. Requirements, other than those mentioned in this warranty form, regarding repairing a machine or damage thereof, do not apply. Greek law and relative regulations apply to this warranty.

WARRANTY

This appliance is a quality product. It was designed in compliance with current technical standards and made carefully using normal, good quality materials. The warranty period is 24 months for non-professional use and 12 months for professional use and commences on the date of purchase, which can be verified by the receipt, invoice or delivery note. During this warranty period all func-tional errors, which, despite the careful treatment described in our operating manual, are verifiably due to material flaws, will be rectified by our after-sales service staff. The warranty takes the form that defective parts will be repaired or replaced with perfect parts free of charge at our discretion. Replaced parts will become our property. Repair work or the replacement of individual parts will not extend the warranty period not will it result in a new warranty period be-ing commenced for the appliance. No separate warranty period will commence for spare parts that may be ted.
We cannot offer a warranty for damage and defects on appliances or their parts caused by the use of excessive force, im-proper treatment and servicing.
This also applies for failures to comply with the operating manual and the installation or spare and accessory parts that are not included in our range of products. In the event of interference with of modifica-tions to the appliance by unauthorized persons, the warranty will be rendered void. Damages that are attributable to improper handling, over loading, or nat-ural wear and tear are excluded from the guarantee. Damages caused by the manufacturer or by a material defect will be corrected at no charge by repair or by providing spare parts. The prerequisite is that the equipment is handed over assembled, and complete with the proof of sale and guarantee. For a guar-antee claim, only use the original packaging. That way, we can guarantee quick and smooth guarantee processing. Ple$se send us the appliances post-paid or request a Freeway sticker. Unfortunately we will be unable to accept appliances that are not postpaid. The warranty does not cover parts that re subject to nat-ural wear and tear.
