Installation Warnings
Ventilation Slots and openings in the case are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable operation of the video product and to protect it from overheating. These openings must not the blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or heat register. This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack, unless proper ventilation is provided or the video product manufacturer instructions have been followed.

Outdoor Antenna Grounding: If an outside antenna or cable system is connected to the video product, be sure the antenna or cable system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and builtup static charges. ANSI/NFPA No. 70-1984 provides information with respect to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead- in wire to an antenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for the grounding electrode.

Power Lines: An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines, other electric light or power circuits, or where it can fall into such power lines or circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken to keep from touching or approaching such power lines or circuits, as contact with them might be fatal. Installing an outdoor antenna can be hazardous and should be left to a professional antenna installer.

Lightning: For added protection for this product during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system. This will prevent damage to the video product due to lightning and power line surges.

Compulsory Warnings
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by service Technicion, in order to avoid a hazard. This product has not been designed for any uses other than those specified in this booklet.

Laser Safety
This compact disc player is classified as a CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT. Only qualified service personnel should remove the cover or attempt to service this device due to possible eye injury. Invisible laser radiation when open and interlock failed or defeated. Avoid direct exposure to beam.

Introduction

Loading batteries to the remote control Remove the battery compartment cover. Load two AAA (UM-4 or R03) batteries into the battery compartment.

Make sure that the batteries have been inserted in the correct polarities matching to the symbols +, – marked in the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment cover.

When replacing batteries, replace both batteries. Do not mix new and used batteries operating together, otherwise, the operation lifetime will be much shorter than normal.

Remove the batteries if the unit will not be used for a prolonged period of time.

The remote control transmits a directional infrared beam.Be sure to aim the remote control directly at the infrared sensor of the unit during operation.

If the sensor has been covered or there is a large object between the remote control and the sensor, the sensor will not respond.

The sensor may be not able to receive the remote signal when it is exposed to direct sunlight or a strong anificial light (fluorescent or strobe light). In this case, change the direction of the light or reposition the unit to avoid direct lighting.

DVD (Digital Versatile Disc) is a digital video medium under the MPEG II format, featuring a variety of revolutionary entertainment capabilities. The MPEG II video compression technology provides capacity for an excellent picture of minimum 500 lines resolution on screen, up to 8 language soundtracks, up to 9 views from different camera angles and up to 32 language subtitles (provided the DVD disc itself supports these features).

Care of disc

  • Hold the disc with fingers. Hold the disc’s outer edge and/or the center spindle hole. Do not touch the disc surface.

Notes

System Connection (Optional according to you back panel)

  1. When making connection between this unit and other components, be sure all connection with power-off.
  2. AudioNideo cables are connected according to the different color identification and they should be fitted firmly. Yellow to video terminal, White to audio terminal L, Red to audio terminal R

OSD Setup

Displaying the setup menu screen
The setup preferences.
The selected category will provide you the setting details using the following screen.

OSD Setup

Set on ‘PARENTAL ‘and press ‘PARENTAL-and choose the desired rating. Then input the code “I”°°- and enter it. the desired ratio is effective. The original factory code is ockdou want to change the code. Set on-password- and press change’. Input the old password’ “. then input the new code and confirm.

REMOTE CO

  • POWER During playback, press POWER to stop the player and close the power. To open the disc tray, press OPEN/CLOSE To close the disc tray, press OPEN/CLOSE again.

  • TITL! • During DVD playback, press TITLE to display the DVD title menu or play the first title. Note: this function is subject to the disc.

  • During DVD playback, press MENU to display the disc menu of the current title. Note: This function is subject to the disc

  • During VCD/DVD playback, press OSD to display the current time counter position.

  • During VCD/SVCD playback, Press PBC to select the mode of PBC On or PBC Off 0-10 Keys ’BC is: playback control used to navigate VCD/SVCD.

  • These keys are used to input the time, as well as title, chapter and track numbers

  • When a CD,DVD or VCD is playing (with PBC off}, press the 0-10 keys to select a track directly.

  • When a numeric item is displayed on the screen, press the 0-10 keys to select the desired entry. Press 10+ button two times and 0/10 button once for 20 SLOW During AVI,DVD, VCD or SVCD playback, press SLOW for slow motion playback.

  • Once you press SLOW , the disc will play at 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16 normal speed.

  • Press PLAY to resume normal playback.
    PREV During AVI,DVD, CD or VCD playback, press PREV to play the previous chapter,titIe or track.
    NEXT
    e During AVI,DVD, CD or VCD playback, press NEXT to play the next chapter, title or track.

  • REPEAT Each press of the REPEAT button will change the repeat mode.
    During VCD,CD playback ,there are three modes: repeat 1, rep, ereapteAallt Anllda Doff. Off. During AVI/DVD, pIayback, there are three modes: repeat chapter, Note:During VCD pIayback ,the PBC mode must be set to OP AB During playback, press A-B to select point A itle, repeat all and Off.
    REV

  • Press it again to select point B. The player will repeat the section from A to B automatically.

  • Press A-B a third time to cancel A-B repeat and clear points A and B.
    Note: During AVI/CD/VCD/SVCD playback, points A and B must be within the same track. During AVI/DVD playback, points A and B can be selected from different chapters.

  • During AVI/DVD, CD or VCD playback, press REV To in reverse. the disc at 2, 4, 8 and 20 times speed
    FWD

  • Press PLAY to resume normal playback.

  • During AVI/DVD, CD or VCD playback, press FWD to forward. The disc at 2, 4, 8 and 20 times speed.

  • Press PLAY to resume normal playback

  • Press RAN play disc randomly

REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION

MUTE
Press MUTE to turn off the audio.
Press MUTE again to resume normal sound.

L\R
During VCD/SVCD playback, press L / R repeatedly to select the channel of audio-output: Mono L / Mono R / Auto L / Auto R / Stereo.

CLEAR
Press CLEAR to delete the numbers you have entered when programming.

PAUSE
Press PAUSE during playback to pause playback.

PLAY
Press PLAY to start playing.

STOP
Press STOP once during playback to stop and hold playback. Press PLAY to resume playback from the point you have pressed STOP. Press STOP twice to stop playback completely.

STOP
Press STOP once during playback to stop and hold playback. Press PLAY to resume playback from the point you have pressed STOP. Press STOP twice to stop playback completely.

RETURN
When the PBC is on, press return .and you can select once again from the menu displaying. This function is only valiable to DVD.

ZOOM
During VCD/SVCD/DVD/AVI playback, press ZOOM to magnify the image  71 Off 1/4 4- as follows:

When playing AVI/DVD,VCD,SVCD disc ,press STEP once , the picture changes to next frame ,Press PLAY to resume normal play.

SETUP
Press the SETUP button on you remote control to access the setup menu.The setup menu is a Multi-level Menu. Use the or buttons to select the menu option that you need. Use the and to go back to previous level menu or to enter the next level menu. Press ENTER button to confirm selection. Press SETUP button to exit setup.

VOL
Press VOL + to increase the volume. Press VOL -to reduce the volume.

‘SUBTITLE
During DVD playback
Press SUBTITLE repeatedly to select fom up to 32 ‘subtitle languages.
Note: This functon is disc specific (language will vary)

ANGLE
During DVD playback, Press ANGLE to view scenes from different camera angles. Press ANGLE repeatedly to change from one camera angle to another. Note: This function is disc specific.

LANGUAGE
Press LANGUAGE repeatedly to select from upto 8 audio languages/formats during DVD playback. Press repeatedly to select from up o 4 audio languages/formats during SVCD playback.

GoTo
DVD disc
Press GOTO toselect CHAPTER, TITLE or TIME, and you need to press it several times to switch CHAPTER, TITLE or TIME, when you insert number key, it will turn to desired item

Veo dise
Press GOTO toselect TRACK, TIME or DISC TIME, and you need to press it several times to switch TRACK, TIME or DISC TIME, when you insert number key, itwill tun to desired item,

PROG
Press PROG to get program menu when reading DVD & VCD, then program your wanted songs. (DVD programme needs TITLE and MENU.)

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Should your DVD player develop a problem, please check below before
requesting service

Symptom Check and Acton
No power
  • Check if the power cord has been properly connected to the power outlet.
  • Check if the main power has been switched on.

Does Not Play|

  • No disc, load a disc.
  • Disc has been loaded upside down. Place the disc with the label side up.
  •  Disc’s region code does not match to the player.
  • Disc is not correct type for player.
  • Disc is damaged or dirty, clean the disc or ry another disc.
  • Moisture may be condensed inside the player. Remove the disc and leave the unit power on for one or two hours.

No Picture|

  • Check if the TV set has power on, use TV remote to select A/V signal forDVD rather than broadcast.
  • Check if the system connection is proper and secure.
  • Check if the connection cables are damaged.
  • Clean the disc.

Picture Noise\distorted|

  • The disc is dirty or damaged. Clean the disc or try another disc.
  • Reset the color system of the player or the TV set.
  • Try to direct the player to the TV set instead of via other components,such as aVCR.

  • Select the screen format from the player’s SETUP MENU, see “SETUP MENU “of this manual.
  • Select the screen format from DVD disc menu.

Malfunction|

  • Should the player develop a malfunction, unplug the player for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, power on the player and the restore function should reset the player.

90 day Year Warranty

This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of original purchase. During this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product or component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to us. If the product or component is no longer available, we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater value. Prior to a replacement being sent, the product must be rendered inoperable or returned to us.

This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in conformity with the printed directions., or damage to the product resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse.
