SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This manual is also available in PDF at mydeltaq.com Please read all of the
instructions in this manual before installing, connecting and using the
device. This manual provides important advice about installation and use. The
manufacturer reserves the right to change the manual without the obligation to
update earlier versions, except in exceptional situations.
ℹ Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
⚠ This device may be used by children aged 8 and above, by people with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, and by people with no experience or
knowledge provided they are supervised or instructed on how to use the device
safely and are aware of the risks involved. Children must not play with the
device. Unsupervised children must not clean or maintain the device. Keep the
device and the lead away from children under 8 years of age.
This device is designed for household use. It may also be used in similar
situations, such as:
– commercial kitchens, offices and other places of work;
– rural dwellings;
– hotels, motels and other residential environments of the same kind by
customers;
– guest room-type accommodation.
While being used, the coffee machine must not be placed inside a cupboard.
⚠ Installation:
After removing the device from its packaging, place it on its base in a safe
location free from other devices and objects that may hinder its handling and
where it cannot be knocked over or damaged. Ensure the surface is properly
clean, dry and possesses no heating sources. Before using your device, make
sure that the mechanical parts and all of its accessories are in good
condition. If you should have any doubt, do not use the device and contact
Customer Support. This device is considered suitable for use in countries with
a temperate climate. It may also be used in other countries. Do not use the
device outside or where exposed to weather conditions (rain, sun, etc.). Do
not place the device close to or on a hot gas or electric stove or in a hot
oven. When used for the first time, it is possible that the device will emit
an odour caused by the insulation materials and elements subject to heating.
This odour will disappear in a few minutes. Some devices may show signs of
previous use due to strict quality control testing. Install the device
according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If the device is incorrectly
installed, it may cause material damage for which the manufacturer shall not
be deemed liable.
⚠ Electrical power:
Check whether the electrical voltage at the outlet corresponds with the
voltage on the rating label on your coffee machine. Only plug the device into
earthed sockets.
⚠ Power lead:
Do not turn the device on if the lead or socket are damaged or broken. Call
the Customer Service Line. If the power lead is damaged it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, the service provider or a similarly qualified person to
mitigate the risks. In the event of an emergency, immediately remove the plug
from the socket. Do not leave the power lead hanging over a table or counter.
Do not allow the lead to come into direct contact with hot surfaces. To turn
the device off, remove the plug from the socket by pulling the plug. Never
pull the lead. Take the plug out of its socket when the device is not being
used or before cleaning. If an extension lead is necessary, only use one which
is earthed.
⚠ Risk of electric shock:
To protect people from fire, electric shock and injury, do not immerse the
lead, socket or device in water or any other liquid. Do not touch the lead
with wet or damp hands. The use of accessories not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause a fire, electric shock or injury.

USING YOUR COFFEE MACHINE
STANDBY/ PERSONALISED SETTINGS
STANDBY
If the machine is not used for 3 minutes, the lights on buttons A, B, C and D
will go out. The Delta Q logo will remain lit with a white light in standby
mode. Press any button (A, B, C or D) to return to the Ready to Use Mode. The
machine will automatically heat up the system.
Removing the drip tray will not wake the device up.
PERSONALISED SETTINGS
Programming the espresso extraction button
- When in ready to use mode, press button A for more than 3 seconds.
- Button A will light up green and buttons B, C and D will start to flash green.
- Insert a Delta Q capsule into the capsule holder.
- Press button A to start the espresso extraction process. The button A will start to flash.
- Press button A again to stop the extraction process. The machine will memorise the volume extracted. Button A will then extract this new volume.
- After extraction, the machine will return to Ready to Use Mode.
If no button is pressed for 1 minute, the machine will return to Ready to Use Mode and will memorise the last volume set. If button A is not pressed to stop the extraction process, the machine will automatically stop when it reaches approximately 75cc.
Programming the lungo extraction button The steps are the same as for predefining an espresso. Press button B instead of button A. If button B is not pressed to stop the extraction process, the machine will automatically stop when it reaches approximately 75cc.
Programming the tisane extraction button The steps are the same as for predefining an espresso. Press button C instead of button A. If button C is not pressed to stop the extraction process, the machine will automatically stop when it reaches approximately 200cc.
MILK-BASED BEVERAGE
When in Ready to Use Mode, the milk tank with enough milk is connected to the milk system.

Adjust the selector to the Galão – Latte position.
Button D and selector’s side light is green. -
Raise the lever to its full extent and insert a Delta Q coffee capsule in the capsule housing hole, in accordance with the housing silhouette. Completely lower the lever.

Place a glass of Galão – Latte under the extraction nozzle.

Hold the button D more than 3 seconds, and the button A, B and C blink.

Press the button D again, thus beginning the coffee extraction.
When the coffee reaches the desired amount, press the button D.
The machine memorises this coffee volume and will start extracting it until a new programme is set.
Afterwards, the machine pre-heats (approximately 25 seconds).
When it reaches the right temperature, the milk extraction begins and when the milk reaches the desired amount, press the button D again. And it return to Ready to Use Mode.
The machine memorises this milk volume and will start extracting it until a new programme is set.
ℹ If no button is pressed for 1 minute, the machine will return to Ready to
Use Mode and will memorise the last volume set.
ℹ If button D is not pressed to stop the extraction process, the machine will
automatically stop when it reaches approximately 220cc.
PROGRAMMING THE COFFEE/CAPPUCCINO AMOUNT
When in Ready to Use Mode, the milk tank with enough milk is connected to the
milk system. Adjust the selector to the Cappuccino position. Button D and
selector’s side light is green. The next steps are the same as for predefining
a Galão – Latte. The difference is the cappuccino starting as follows: first
the milk foam (the machine pre-heats for approximately 25 seconds. when it
reaches the right temperature, the milk foam extraction begins) and then the
coffee.
If button D is not pressed to stop the extraction process, the machine will
automatically stop when it reaches approximately 220cc.
CLEANING AND MAINTAINING THE MILK SYSTEM
CLEANING THE MILK SYSTEM
- Place a tall glass (with capacity exceeding 190cc) under the extraction nozzle.
- Pour enough fresh water into the milk tank and cover its lid.
- Open the milk system door.
- Connect the milk tank to the milk system.
- When in Ready to Use Mode, adjust the selector to the Cleaning position. Button D and selector’s side light is blue.
- Press button D. It will start to flash with a blue light during extraction.
- The lights on buttons A, B and C will go out.
- The milk system cleaning process begins when hot water and steam come out (approximately 25 seconds). And this process can not be stopped.
- Afterwards, only the steam comes out (approximately 25 seconds).
- This process can be stopped by pressing any of the extraction buttons.
- The machine stops automatically.
MAINTAINING THE MILK SYSTEM

RESET FACTORY SETTINGS
- When in Ready to Use Mode, press button A and C at the same time for more than 3 seconds.
- All of the buttons will flash 3 times.
- The machine will return to the factory settings.
- After flashing 3 times, the machine will automatically return to Ready to Use Mode.
PURGING
- Purging the system frequently ensures the quality of the extracted drinks and the correct maintenance of the device.
- Place a cup under the nozzle and press the espresso button to rinse the machine without inserting a capsule. The extraction will stop automatically. When the LED light stops flashing, the machine is Ready to Use.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
⚠ Ensure the device is unplugged before cleaning. To avoid electric shock,
do not immerse the lead, plug or device in water or any other liquid. Do not
use abrasive or solvent-based cleaning agents.
Cleaning the drip tray, used capsule container and water tank.
- Remove and empty the drip tray, used capsule container and water tank.
- The drip tray, used capsule container and water tank can be washed in water and dried with a soft cloth.
- Clean the outer surfaces of the machine with a damp cloth.
- Never immerse the machine in water or any other liquid.
Empty the used capsule container regularly to prevent damage to the machine and poor functioning.
DESCALING/ WARNING MESSAGES/ ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT/ TECHNICAL

DESCALING
It is recommended that the machine is descaled every 3 months or after
approximately 300 Delta Q capsule extractions.
Follow the safety instructions on the Delta Q descaling kit. Keep the
descaling product away from your eyes, skin, machine and surrounding surfaces.
WARNING MESSAGES
- The four extraction buttons will light up red.
- Turn off the machine by pressing button B and C at the same time for more than 3 seconds, wait 2 minutes and turn it back on again.
- If the problem persists, contact Customer Service.

improvements and functions have been introduced to reduce energy consumption.
This machine complies with European Directive 2012/19/EU. The packaging and
the machine contain recyclable materials.
Electrical devices must not be disposed of with unsorted urban waste. Use the appropriate dustbin. Contact your local council for information about available waste collection. If electrical devices are sent to landfill, there is a risk of contaminating the ground water with hazardous substances which could then enter the food chain and be a risk to health and well-being.
