Strukturmaling is an effect paint containing special quartz grains.
The paint is designed to render the treated surface a coarse and durable
finish.
Areas of application
Exterior & interior walls, facades & ceilings, wherever a slightly coarse and
sand/cement rendered look is desired.
Strukturmaling is suitable for hiding substrates unevenness.
Substrate
Substrate must be clean, dry, firm and free from staining and suitable for
painting.
Porous, untreated substrate such as plaster, concrete etc. must be primed with
micro dispersion primer.
Staining substrates must be thoroughly cleaned, and primed with suitable stain
stopper.
Treatment
Stir extremely well before and during use. Use a mixer for elecric drill.
The paint has thixotropic properties; it becomes less viscous when stirred and
more viscous when left at rest.
Apply ample amounts of paint, using trowel, paintbrush or sturdy roller.
If product is applied with trowel, patterns can be made with paint roller or
paintbrush, in applied material.
Final treatment:
Strukturmaling must be painted with ordinary wall or facade paint, depending
on easy-clean requirements.
Apply no more than 3 mm of strukturmaling per coat, as the product may shrink
during drying, which affects adhesion, as well as the properties of the
surface causing cracking and/or peeling.
