Operation Instructions

Remove all packaging materials before using the toaster. Familiarize yourself with the operation, adjustments and functions of switches. Internalize and follow the safety and operation instructions in order to avoid possible risks and hazards. The surfaces of the appliance are subject to residual heat after use, so be cautious while handling it.

Usage Instructions:

  1. Plug the toaster into a power outlet.
  2. Set the desired toasting level using the control knob.
  3. Place the bread slices in the toaster slots.
  4. Press down the lever to start toasting.
  5. The toaster will automatically stop when the toasting is complete.
  6. Lift the lever to remove the toasted bread slices.
  7. Unplug the toaster from the power outlet when not in use.

Cleaning

Allow the toaster to cool down before cleaning. Use a dry or slightly damp cloth to clean the exterior of the toaster. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scrubbers as they may damage the surface of the toaster. The crumb tray can be removed and cleaned separately.

Disposal Guidelines:

Do not dispose of the appliance with household waste. The appliance should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations for electronic waste. Contact your local waste disposal facility for more information.

DESCRIPTION

This appliance is intended for toasting slices of bread, toast, buns, muffins, etc. Do not use it to toast bread/toast with spread, pizza, sandwiches, etc.
The appliance is intended for private use and not for professional operation.
The appliance is intended for indoor use only.
Use the appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use might lead to damage of the appliance, property or personal injury.
No liability will be accepted for damage resulting from improper use or non- compli-ance with this manual.

  • Read this instruction manual carefully before using the appli-ance. Familiarise yourself with the operation, adjustments and functions of switches. Internalise and follow the safety and ope-ration instructions in order to avoid possible risks and hazards.

Pay attention to the instructions for cleaning and care.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and abo-ve and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given super-vision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

  10. Regarding the instructions for cleaning surfaces in contact with food and the removal of breadcrumbs, please refer to chapter “After use”.
  11. WARNING! Misuse may lead to injury. Use this appliance solely in accordance with these instructions. Do not attempt to modify the appliance in any way.
  12. DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.
  13. Do not pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet by the power cord and do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
  14. The appliance needs space to allow heat to escape, thereby pre-venting the risk of fire. Make sure that the appliance has sufficient space around it (at least 20 cm on all sides) and does not come in contact with flammable material. The appliance must not be covered and the space above the appliance must remain clear.
  15. Never use accessories which are not recommended by the manuf-acturer. They could pose a safety risk to the user and might damage the appliance. Only use original parts and accessories.
  16. Connect the mains plug to an easily accessible socket, in order to quic-kly disconnect the appliance from the mains supply in an emergency.
  17. If you use an extension cord or a multi-socket unit, it must have an appropriate power rating.
  18. Always turn the appliance off before disconnecting the power plug.
  19. Always place and operate the appliance on an even, stable, heat-resistant and dry surface.
  20. Do not use the appliance without the crumb tray in place. The crumb tray should be cleaned regularly. Do not allow crumbs to build up in the tray.
  21. Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
  22. DANGER OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK! Do not insert too thick slices of bread, metal foil or kitchen tools into the appliance.
  23. DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Never attempt to extract jam-med bread or the like with a knife or similar object, as contact with live elements may cause electric shock. Unplug the appliance, allow it to cool down and carefully remove the bread.
  24. Do not use this appliance with foodstuffs containing sugary fillings (such as jam or preserves) or fillings that liquefy when exposed to heat (such as butter or margarine).
  25. Do not operate the appliance empty.
  26. Do not place bread directly on the baking slot as this will impair air circulation and damage the appliance.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY\

  1. Ensure the rated voltage shown on the rating label corresponds with the voltage of the power supply.
  2. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged power cord or plug, when the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  3. Protect the power cord against damages. Do not let it hang over sharp edges, do not squeeze or bend it. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces and open flames and ensure that nobody can trip over it.
  4. Do not open the housing under any circumstances. Do not insert fin-gers or foreign objects in any opening of the appliance and do not obstruct the air vents.
  5. Protect the appliance against heat. Do not place close to open flames or heat sources such as stoves or heating appliances.

OPERATION

FIRST USE

  • Place the appliance on an even, stable, heat-resistant and dry surface.
  • Set the appliance to the highest browning level and operate it without food inside until it stops automatically. This operation will remove residues from the manufacturing process.
  • Let the appliance cool down completely and then clean it ( After use ).

NOTES

  • First select the toasting mode, then the browning level (not necessary for defrosting) and then the type of bread. The appliance adapts automatically and ensures a uniform browning.
  • When inserting baguette slices and bagels, position the cut side towards the front of the appliance (see symbol present on either side of the slot).
  • When the appliance has not been operated for 2 minutes, it switches to stand-by mode. To exit this mode, turn the dial.

AFTER USE

CLEANING

NOTE
Clean the appliance regularly to keep it in a good and safe working condition. Empty the crumb tray after each use.

  • Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely.
  • Do not clean the appliance with steel wool, strong chemicals, alkali, abrasive or disinfecting agents as they may damage its surface.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids to clean it. Make sure that no water enters the appliance while cleaning it.
  • Clean the body of the appliance and the bread-roll warming rack with a soft damp cloth and, if necessary, a little mild detergent. Wipe with a dry and soft cloth.
  • Press the crumb tray to unlock it, then pull it out of the appliance and empty it into the household trash. Clean the crumb tray in warm water, using a soft sponge and mild detergent. Wipe with a dry and soft cloth. When completely dry, slide it back into the appliance and push it until it locks into place.
  • Turn the appliance upside down over a trash can and shake it gently to remove crumbs from inside the appliance.
  • The appliance may only be used again after it is dried completely.

STORAGE

  • Before storage, always make sure that the appliance is completely dry and cooled down.
  • Wind the power cord around the cord storage.
  • Store the appliance in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and out of the reach of children.
  • Preferably store the appliance in its original packaging.

NOTES FOR DISPOSAL

Dispose of the appliance and packaging must be effected in accordance with the corresponding local regulations and requirements for electrical appliances and packaging. Please contact your local disposal company.

Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities. Contact your local government for information regarding the coll-ection systems available. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills, dumps, or refuse incineration, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater or can be emitted into air, thus getting into the food chain, and damaging your health and well-being as well as poisoning flora and fauna. When replacing old appliances with new once, the vendor is legally obligated to take back your old appliance for disposal at least for free of charge.

WARRANTY
We guarantee that all our products are free of defects at the time of purchase. Any demonstrable manufacturing or material defects will be to the exclusion of any further claim and within 2 years after purchasing the appliance free of charge repaired or substituted. There is no Warranty claim of the purchaser if the damage or defect of the appliance is caused by inappropriate treatment, over loading or installati-on mistakes. The Warranty claim expires if there is any technical interference of a third party without a written agreement. The purchaser has to present the sales slip in assertion- of-claim and has to bear all charges of costs and risk of the transport.

After the warranty period, please send defective appliances to the given address. You will get a free quotation and, thereafter, can decide, whether we shall repair the appliance to the costs possibly accrued, send back the defective appliance for free of charge, or dispose of the appliance for free of charge.

The appliance is intended for household use only and NOT suited for commercial usage. Do not attempt to use this appliance in any other way or for any other purpose than the intended use, described in these instructions. Any other use is regarded as unintended use or misuse, and can cause severe injuries or damage
