Service First Products Halyard Conversion Kit
Kit Includes
Telescoping pole Halyard (rope) Conversion Kit.
Installation
STEP ONE: Remove the top screw on your flagpole.
STEP TWO: Remove the top cap of the flagpole.
STEP THREE : Remove the flag rings from the pole.
STEP FOUR : install the pulley truck on top of the pole. Use the set screw to tighten. Do not overtighten.
STEP FIVE: Thread included rope through the pulley
STEP SIX: Extend the first (bottom) section of the flagpole. (this is important so you don’t drill through multiple sections)
STEP SEVEN: Measure and mark the preferred location of your rope cleat. You can choose your desired height.
STEP EIGHT: Use a 9/64” drill bit to drill holes into the marked locations.
STEP NINE: Install cleat
Note: Once your cleat is installed it may inhibit the bottom section of the pole from completely retracting. You may need to remove the cleat to retract the entire pole.
STEP TEN: Attach flag clips.
Loop part of the rope and thread through the bottom hole in the clip. Take the looped rope and wrap over the top of the clip.
STEP ELEVEN Connect the 2 rope ends and raise your flag.
