  • Do not operate the machine without enough training. Children/ minors are forbidden to operate.
  • Do not operate while after consuming alcohol, while having fatigue or in bad mood.
  • Do not operate the machine in insufficient light.
  • Before starting the engine, ensure it is in neutral gear and the clutch at the separating position.
  • Separate the clutch before changing the gear position. Lower the speed of engine.
  • Pay more attention while working on the slope field to avoid risk of falling down.
  • Bystanders should keep safety distance during operation
  • If you want to clear the mud or grass on machine or on the blades or any assistance is required, ensure to separate clutch and turn off engine first.
  • Fuel is highly flammable, so keep them away from fire. Turn off the engine, allow it to cool before adding fuel to oil tank.
  • Do not run the machine in less ventilated place occasion, in order to avoid CO poisoning.
  • Keep away from rotating and hot parts.

Working Principle & Application
The maize harvester has an engine with the power that drives walking tyres to walk through the gearbox, the power is also transmitted to another gearbox, which in turn drives two iron harvesting wheels and blades below. While the machine is moving forward, the stem of the corn plant is pulled inside by two rotating iron wheels, but the corn cob cannot pass because of its thickness, so it is cut down and made to fall into the case. Thus the stem is cut into pieces by blades. Suitable for the corn planted in the hilly land.

The machine can be divided into two parts, when the part with another gearbox is removed, the remaining part can be used as a tiller.

Features

  1. Light and flexible: Occupies less space, is light in weight, do not require much professional knowledge and training,So can be easily operated.
  2. Multifunction: corncob is collected separately and stem is cut into pieces and returned to the field.
  3. Well-suited for hilly land where the road is not good enough, or the land is small.
  4. Price, fuel consumption and operating cost is very low
  5. Can be used as an independent tiller, like for rotary tillage, deep tillage, ridging, etc.
  6. High efficiency.

Inspection & Adjustment

The machine has been adjusted and calibrated strictly before leaving the factory. However, it is necessary to check and adjust various parts before the first operation or at any time if necessary.

Daily inspection

Warning
Before operating, you must fill the machine oil into the engine oil cup of air filter, the gearbox of the walking case, the gearbox of the harvester. Please note that oil is not filled while leaving the factory. Following this, the operator should check the machine oil often. While working if machine oil is found insufficient or if it is not clean, then refill/ change it immediately, else the machine will be seriously damaged.

Inspect engine oil in engine, the regular volume is 0.7L.

  • Keep the machine on a flat surface.
  • Move the oil level gauge, clean it.
  • Put back it into hole again, do not turn.
  • Move it out again, check the oil level, the normal position is at the middle of mark. As shown in the right picture.

Inspect the engine oil in air filter, if there is no suitable volume of engine oil in the oil type air filter, it will damage the engine.

  • The regular level is near the mark of “oil level”.

Inspect the engine oil in the gearbox of walking case, the regular volume is 1.8L. The procedure is the same as mentioned above in 1.1: fill the engine oil in the engine.

Inspect the engine oil in the gearbox of harvesting, the regular volume is 2.2L.

  • You can remove the cover, turn tightly after filled.
Note: there is no gauge here, just fill the volume as required.

  • Inspect the control part such as control knobs, clutches, shift level, etc. Ensure they all are working reliably

  • Inspect screw bolts, and parts of the joint, and ensure they all are fastened tightly.

Operation

Starting the Engine
Before starting the engine, ensure to put the gearbox to neutral gear and the clutch at the separating position.

  1. Refuel diesel into oil tank,
  2. Right-turn the fuel switch to “open”
  3. Left turn the choke valve to “start”
  4. Turn the handle of accelerator to about 1/3
  5. Press the switch off button to “ON”
  6. By pulling out the recoil starter about 10cm, until it become tight, then pull quickly by force, then can you start the engine.

Warning:
If pull out the recoil directly by force without pulling out 10cm lightly, the starter will be damaged.

If you loosen the handle suddenly after pulling out, the handle will go back to starter quickly, the starter will be damaged. So you should grip the handle until it is completely back slowly.

  1. After the engine is started, wait for few secondstill the engine runs smoothly, then turn the choke valve to “RUN”slowly.

Warning:
If the choke valve is not turned to “RUN” completely, the engine will be damaged in few minutes.

Walking and Working
After the engine is started, the machine can walk or work. Before this, adjust the angle and height of the handle as per your convenience. The following picture shows the controlling position.

Adjust the engine in low speed before joint the walking clutch, to avoid any injury caused by sudden and fast moving of the machine.

Note:
There is a button near walking clutch handle, you can press to stop walking at once while emergency statement.KisanKraft-KK-MCH-01D-Maize-Harvester-fig-
\(9\)

There are 2 shift levels, the above used for control reward, forward I, forward II, the below one is used to control high and low speeds.

Note:
What calls for special attention is that, the shift level used for forward and backward, is under the statement of tiller. But for the corn harvester, it is opposite. That means, only by putting the shift level to backward, we can harvest maize.

The walking clutch should be separate before change shift level. KisanKraft-

Warning:
Do not overexert while changing the shift level to avoid contact of your hand with hot silencer.

Maize harvesting
There is a special clutch for maize harvesting, called harvesting clutch, as shown in fig. Separate the clutch, to stop harvesting, but the machine can move forward or backward. Only when the clutch is pushed to joint, the harvesting will take place.

Warning:
To join or separate the harvesting clutch, you have to separate walking clutch first.

Discharge the corn cob.

  • If the hopper is full of corn cobs, you should discharge them, pull the handle to open as shown in the picture (right)
  • Warning: Before discharging, the walking clutch should be separated to stop walking of the machine.

Change direction
If you have finished a row, need to turn around or need to change direction because of other reasons, but if it is very difficult when all the 4 wheels are on surface, then you should lift the two wheels near to driver, above the ground, to change the direction easily.

Shut down

  • Separate the walking clutch
  • Turn the accelerator clockwise to the end, minimize the speed of engine
  • Press switch off button to “OFF”.

Warning:
Press switch-off button to “OFF “directly under the state of emergency. Otherwise, you should follow the above-mentioned procedure, i.e., not to shut down suddenly while working in high speeds in order to avoid any hurt or damage.

Maintenance & Service

Shut down the engine before any maintenance. In order to prevent the engine from being started accidentally, the engine accelerator should be put in the minimum position and for the electric start models, you should remove the start key.

  • The machine should be serviced by an authorized dealer unless the user has the proper tools, maintenance information and maintenance ability.
