Using the product for its intended purpose
The appliance described here is
exclusively for use as a movement sensor with a radio transmitter.
!Different factors (flat batteries, radio disruption etc.) can lead to
impairment of the appliance’s function.
Therefore do not use this appliance in safety relevant areas!

Short description
This appliance is a movement sensor with a radio transmitter to control radio
gongs and radio receivers with switching output.
!According to the model the appliances can be will be initiated.
Repeated movements within a certain time, which can be set, will not lead to a
new transmission procedure. In this way the appearance of people in the area
covered is signalled without continually repeating the signal if they remain
in the area.
!Every movement sensor can control several radio receivers. Each radio
receiver can recognise several movement sensors / radio transmitters.

INSTALLATION
General
Please note that installation and
assembly of electrical equipment should only be under- taken by a qualified
electrician!
!Nationally specific regulations on electrical installation work must be
observed
Suitable precautionary measures MUST be taken if a device failure could
harm persons or cause other consequential damage!
Coverage Range 15 m Angle 108° Range approx. 500m if unobstructed if the
transmitter is installed in accordance with the instructions. Walls, doors,
metal components etc. may reduce the range significantly! See illustration
below!
INSTALLATION Fixation
Preparing the equipment/installation
The movement sensor must be installed on a firm, vibration free surface at a
height of 2.00 to 2.20 m. For this purpose measurement diagrams are to be
taken into account so that the sensor records movements that cross the area
monitored. (Installation at a height of 2.20 m guarantees that the appliance
will not be interfered with by pets).
!The movement sensor should not be installed near heat sources or be exposed
to direct sunlight.
The movement sensor can be fixed directly onto a wall. In this case the
coverage area can be adjusted by selecting a suitable coverage line.
!The movement sensor can also be fixed to a wall or ceiling using the mounting
bracket. The coverage area can be adjusted by altering the mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION Fixation
Movement sensor Fixed installation
! Open the movement sensor as shown in the illustration. To do this unlock the
housing lock
(3) using a screwdriver. Attention : do not touch the PIR sensor!
!Remove the printed circuit board by undoing the printed circuit board mount
(8) and unlock the fixing (5).
!Open the cable inlet (12) (only for external power supply max. size 6 mm). Do
not create any sharp edges. Insert the cable.
Open the mounting point for wall mounting (13) and mount the movement sensor
at these points.
!Put the printed circuit board back.
Using the mounting bracket
!Open the movement sensor as shown in the illustration. To do this unlock the
housing lock
(3) using a screwdriver.
Attention : do not touch the PIR sensor!
!Remove the printed circuit board by undoing the printed circuit board mount
(8) and unlock the fixing (5).
!Open the prepared aperture (b) and put the bracket together as shown.
!After identifying a suitable place to secure the area covered pull the cable
(only for external power supply, max. size 6 mm) through the bracket opening
and attach the bracket to the wall or ceiling with two
Align the sensor and fasten the screw hand- tight with a number 15 spanner Put
the printed circuit board back in
INSTALLATION Electrical connection
External power supply
External power supply with =/~ 8-12V (0.05A) via the terminal for
external power supply (4) as shown in the illustration !Only used approved
transformers in
accordance with EN 61558-2-6 / EN 61558-2-8 that guarantee safe separation
from the grid (SELV-> Separate/safety Extra Low Voltage)
Walk testing
!Connect the enclosed jumper plug to the two lower connection pins (9) marked
in the picture to activate the walk test.
!Close the housing. Wait a few seconds until the LED goes out. Walk through
the area covered.
!The LED will light up for half a second every time a movement is recognised.
A transmission procedure will not be initiated during walk testing.
!Set the area covered by selecting a suitable lens and by adjusting the
mounting bracket. After completing the walk test, plug the bridge onto the two
upper connection pins.
! Attention : if the strapping plug stays bridged there will be no
transmission procedure and thus no signalling.
Time delay
!Using the potentiometer (11) shown in the illustration, a delay of between
about 3 and 60 seconds can be set. After a movement has been recognised that
initiates a transmission procedure a timer with the preset delay time will be
started.
Any movements during this time will start the timer again. Before the time
relay expires no further transmission procedures will be initiated.
!To adjust the delay time (timer) turn the potentiometer and increase the time
by turning it in steps towards (+)
Receiver configuration
****!Pressing the test button (10) will initiate a transmission procedure.
This will happen regardless of any movement recognised or time set up.
!Use this button to configure the transmitter with the radio receiver. Follow
the radio receiver instructions to put it into configuration mode.
Replacing the Battery General
batteries correctly in accordance with the regulations in your country!
