Intended Audience

This document is intended for use by system administrators and engineers interested in the design, daily management, operations, and troubleshooting of a Tarana G1 network including Base Nodes, Remote Nodes, and the Tarana Cloud Suite (TCS). It is assumed that the reader has a good working knowledge of RF, wireless systems, and networking concepts. The G1 products are designed for installation and use by trained professionals and require adherence to all relevant regulatory, safety, and telecom industry best practice guidelines for outdoor radios. It is assumed that the Tarana G1 Base Node and Remote Nodes have been installed on-site and are connected to the TCS.

  • Any device with current software revision 0.809 or higher can be directly upgraded to 0.977.
  • Tarana strongly recommends upgrading to 0.977 as soon as possible to allow auto-renewal of device certificates before expiration.
  • Support for software revision 0.809 has been deprecated on June 30, 2022. Support for software revision 0.967 will be deprecated on September 30, 2022. Please upgrade your existing radios to the latest version.

Feature / Bug Fix Description

CBRS overlapping channel protection

| Addressed an issue where overlapping frequencies were getting programmed for the 2 carriers on the BN causing links to disconnect. [CBRS only]

CBRS CPI ID

| Fixed an issue where a previously configured CPI-ID may be deleted from the configuration. [CBRS only]
Broadcast packet-related flooding protection|

Added protection to avoid broadcast packet-related network flooding on the BN.

TCS Access Enhancement| Fixed an issue where the TCS operator portal became unresponsive when a Device UI was launched.

Device UI Improvements

| Alarms are now properly showing in the device web UI; Fixed an issue where azimuth was reverting to the previous value; RN Device UI ‘Setup’ page has been updated to make it easier to configure the device parameters.
TCS to Device Config Enhancement| Fixed inconsistencies in configuration resulting from a device not syncing with TCS.
