Instructions for installation and operation

Dear Customer

With this device you have acquired a quality product which we have developed and produced for you with the greatest possible care and to the highest standards.
The statutory guarantee period applies.
Defects caused by improper handling, misuse or disregard of the installaon and operang instrucons are excluded from this guarantee.

Safety instructions

Do not expose the MISTRAL SE06 to dripping or splashing liquid! Do not place any vessels filled with liquid on it! Do not cover it with objects or blankets, curtains, etc. and protect it from direct sunlight and naked flames! Do not expose the baeries in the MISTRAL SE06 to excessive heat (e.g. sunlight, fire or similar)!

Intended use

The device described here are solely intended as a radio-controlled bell and signaling system for private use. The function can be impaired by different influences (flat baeries, radio interference, etc.). Never use this device in safety-related areas! If failure of the device could cause a hazard for people, or other consequently damage is possible, you MUST prevent this through suitableadditional safety measures!

Short description

Due to its small size, the MISTRAL SE06 transmier is suitable for mounng in a flush box or other electrical equipment.

Aer connecng the MISTRAL SE06 to a potenal-free contact such as a push-buon, bell buon, door intercom, moon detector or similar, the transmier can control all Grothe wireless doorbells by radio.

The MISTRAL SE06 is installed in the intended location and then coupled with Grothe wireless doorbells. When connected, MISTRAL SE06 sends a signal to all coupled Grothe wireless doorbell

The transmier is ideally supplied with external power. Alternately, a baery (only type CR 2450, arcle number 43397) can be used.

Power supply

Strip the individual wires 7 mm and connect them to terminals (V) = + and (O) = ‒

Caution: Use a power supply with a maximum power of 10 W.

Using the MISTRAL SE06 with baery

Attention: Only use CR 2450 batteries

• Open the housing: release both snap-in hooks on the sides of the housing and open the cover.

• Insert the CR 2450 battery in the battery holder: make sure the polarity is correct, positive pole up, negative pole towards the PCB.

• Close cover again.
  Note:

• The battery has a lifetime of approximately five years under normal use.

• For very frequent transmissions an external DC supply, e. g. with NA 9V-GPE (arcle no. 43399) should be used.

Connection with potential-free push-button

Push-buon to be used: normally open contact

Strip the individual wires 7 mm
Connect them to terminals (C) and (O)

Connection with button with voltage

Strip the individual wires 7 mm
Connect them to terminals (C) = ‒ and (T) = +
When triggered with direct current C = “‒” and T = „+
A parallel connecon with an exisng bell system is possible.

Coupling with wireless doorbells (receivers)

• Switch the wireless doorbell to pairing mode as described in the gong’s user manual
• As a confirmation, the LED / LED-lighting lights up red on all Grothe wireless doorbells
• Within 30 seconds press the button on the MISTRAL SE06 (A) or the button connected to the terminals (B). The LED of the MISTRAL SE06 (C) flashes for 30 seconds (red) during transmission procedure.
• When the MISTRAL SE06 is coupled to the wireless doorbell, the wireless doorbell signals and the LED / LED light ring goes out.

Information

The range of the MISTRAL SE06 is approx. 150 m if unobstructed and if the transmitter is installed in accordance with the instructions. Walls, doors, metal components etc. may reduce the range significantly. See illustration below

Note: the range can be significantly reduced with flush mounting, depending on the nature of the wall e.g. reinforced concrete.

Guarantee and liability

GROTHE GmbH chimes are produced using modern technology and are subjected to one hundred percent quality control.

If a defect nonetheless occurs in your device, GROTHE GmbH provides a guarantee with the following scope.

1. Our guarantee includes subsequent improvement or replacement delivery of a device, if it verifiably has functional or material defects.
2. The guarantee does not cover natural wear and tear or transport damage. It also does not cover damaged caused by disregard of the installation instructions or improper installation. The guarantee atomically expires if the device was opened aer the fault diagnosis.
3. he guarantee period is 24 months from purchase of the device by the consumer. Compliance with the claim period must be verified by proof of date of purchase by means of the enclosed invoice, delivery note or similar document.
   In case of a defect, please send the device with enclosed descripon of the defect to the address of the seller with the abovenamed documents.
