Introduction

IMPORTANT

  • Read through this instruction thoroughly and familiarize yourself with the machine before installing parts.
  • This instruction demonstrates procedures for installing the TractorPlus™ Smart Connector Kit. This connection allows visibility of data from the vehicle data network.
  • The operator must have the TractorPlus™ App in order to view module signals.

Understand Signal Words
  • DANGER: The signal word DANGER indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
  • WARNING: The signal word WARNING indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
  • CAUTION: The signal word CAUTION indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, could result in minor or moderate injury. CAUTION may also be used to alert against unsafe practices associated with events that could lead to personal injury.

Follow Safety Instructions

Carefully read all safety messages in this instruction. Read the product operator’s manual for operating instructions and safety messages. Do not let anyone operate without instruction. (A copy of the operator’s manual may also be available from the Service ADVISOR™ application.)

Park Machine Safely

Before working on the machine:

  • Lower all equipment to the ground.
  • Stop the engine and remove the key.
  • Disconnect the battery ground strap.
  • Hang a “DO NOT OPERATE” tag in the operator station.

Install Bluetooth Module—7000/7010 Series

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the following parts for wiring harness routing:
  • Console Trim Ring
  • Ashtray
  • Console Panel
  1. Connect Bluetooth module (A) to wiring harness (B).
  • Bluetooth Module
  • Wiring Harness
  1. Locate diagnostic connector (A) and connect to the mating 6-way connector (B) on the Bluetooth module harness. The second 6-way connector (C) now functions as the tractor diagnostic connector.
  2. Retain the Bluetooth module and associated wiring harnesses neatly under the console using the provided tie bands. (Keep the connectors accessible for future use.)

Install Bluetooth Module

8000/8010/8020, 8000T/8010T/8020T, 9000/9020, and 9000T/9020T

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove screw (A) and panel (B). Open fuse panel (C).
  3. Remove the access panel (D) from 9000/9020 and 9000T/9020T series tractors if the removal of the fuse panel does not provide adequate access to the work area.

  1. Connect Bluetooth module (A) to wiring harness (B).

IMPORTANT: Locate diagnostic connector (A) at the fuse panel. Route the connector so that it isaccessible in the area behind the control panel.

  1. Locate diagnostic connector (A) and connect to the mating 6-way connector (B) on the Bluetooth module harness. The second 6-way connector (C) now functions as the tractor diagnostic connector.
  2. Retain the Bluetooth module and associated wiring harnesses neatly under the console using the provided tie bands. (Keep the connectors accessible for future use.)
