ET9100 Hydraulic Hose Saw

The ET9100 Hydraulic Hose Saw is a breakthrough technology that uses a toothed blade to cut hydraulic hoses. It cuts with the backs of each tooth, so the blade does not create a kerf. The saw bends the hose into the blade, spreading the cut edges to avoid burning and smoking.

How It Works

The normal sawing method of lowering an abrasive saw blade onto the hose causes the hose to compress and deform. As the blade cuts, the compressed hose expands against the blade causing friction, heating, and burning. Much of the debris from the kerf of the blade is deposited into your hose. The ET9100 saw separates the hose as the blade slices, creating no kerf and leaving no debris inside your hose.

Usage Instructions

  1. Make sure the saw is properly grounded before use.
  2. Select the appropriate blade for your cutting application.
  3. Place the hydraulic hose into the saw blade, making sure it is secure.
  4. Turn on the saw and allow the blade to reach full speed.
  5. Slowly lower the blade onto the hose until it begins to cut.
  6. Continue cutting until the desired length is achieved.
  7. Turn off the saw and remove the cut hose from the blade.

Always wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when operating
the ET9100 Hydraulic Hose Saw. This includes safety glasses, earplugs, and gloves. Keep hands and fingers away from the blade at all times. Ensure that the saw blade is properly maintained and replaced when necessary. How It Works

Old Method
The normal sawing method of lowering an abrasive saw blade onto the hose causes the hose to compress and deform. As the blade cuts the compressed hosed expands against the blade causing friction, heating and burning and much of the debris from the kerf of the blade is deposit-ed into your hose.

New Improved Danfoss Method
With the Danfoss hydraulic hose saws the hose is positioned across two pins (A) and moved into the blade (C) by a feed foot (B) using pulldown handle for better leverage on heavy hose. The feed motion causes the hose to stretch at the point of contact with the blade, allowing it to separate as it is cut (see image at below). This separation allows the hose to pass clear of the saw blade with NO friction, NO heating and NO DEBRIS! A vacuum hose (D) is attached to a vacuum port to remove any tiny amount of debris or smoke during cutting.
