QUICK START GUIDE

  • To turn off t he keyboard, switch the keyboard to Wired mode and unplug the USB cable.

SETUP OS MODE

Press and hold FN Key+ HM Key to MAC or PC to set the keyboard to the mode compatible with your operating system.

KEYBOARD SETUP

BT MODE,
Switch the keyboard to Wireless Mode. Activate the Bluetooth profile process by pressing and holding the FN key+ BT 1, 2, or3 key together. The connection indicator light color will change to the corresponding color. Press and hold the FN key+ BT 1, 2, or 3 key simultaneously for 3-5 seconds and it’ll go into pairing mode. Once the keyboard is in pairing mode, the indicator light will flash quickly. Please pair your device with the name ··cascade98 51.0.”
RF MODE:
Switch the keyboard to Wireless mode. Pressing and holding the FN Key+ RF key to RF Mode. Using the RF dongle located at the bottom of the keyboard and insert it to your device’s available USB port. Once the 2.4G Wireless Receiver is set up, the keyboard is ready to use.
USBMODE:
Switch the keyboard to Wired mode. Connect the Cascade 98 keyboard to your computer’s available USB port with the included USB Type-C Cable. Press and hold the FN key+ use Key to eater use Mode. The Keyboard is ready for use.

CHECK BATTERY LEVEL

Press and hold the FN Key+ ESC Key to check battery level. Battery level will display through F1 to F10.
The battery indicator light: Red= Battery low/ Blue= Charging/ Green= 100% charged

USING HOT-SWAPPABLE SWITCHES

STEP 1. REMOVE KEYCAP

Using Hot-swappable Switches
You will need the Keycap & Switch Puller provided in the package to begin removing your switches.
Use the rectangular side of the puller to pull and wiggle the keycaps off gently. Please make sure not to yank the keycaps out as you may damage the switch.

STEP 2. REMOVE SWITCHES

Using Hot-swappable Switches
With the keycap off, you should see the switch underneath. Use the tog side of the puller to hook underneath the switch, pushing down onto the two phasic tabs on the top and bottom of the switches.
Now you may gently pull and wiggle the switches out. Please avoid yanking on the switch when extracting.

STEP 3. INSTALL SWITCHES

Using Hot-swappable Switches

When you are ready to install new switches, please make sure the pins on your new switches are straight.
Start by lining up the switch pies with the sockets oxo the keyboard and gently press down until the switch sides into place. the switch should settle in and feel securely in place if properly lined up.

STEP 4. TEST KEYS

Using Hot-swappable Switches

Once you’ve installed all the switches, please test the keys to make sure they are functioning properly.

If any of the keys are not working, you may have a bent pin on your switch. Take out the problematic switch. straighten out the pins with the switch puller, then re-install the switch.
