Product Description

UeeVii UAP180 is an outdoor high-power Gigabit Access Point, 2.4G&5.8G dual- band equipped with PA power amplifier, equipped with 128MB large memory, 2″5dbi gain antenna can achieve 360-degree omnidirectional coverage; support AP, routing, bridging, relay 4 modes provide you with different network solutions; it can be used for small-scale outdoor wireless deployments such as garages, yards, shops, farms, barns, etc., with simple setup and cost saving.

Reset Button: long-press for 5s to reset the AP.

Quick Start (Router Mode)

  1. Connection Detail
    Need to pay attention to the difference between LAN and WAN port, there are the following 4 connection methods.

Tips:

  • Modem/ routers/ switches for internet connection are omitted from the reference diagram, practical applications need to connections
  • According to your needs, please be sure to refer to the connection method above to connect, otherwise it may display “No internet Connection /Connected, no internet”

Connect to WiFi

In router mode, according to your needs, refer to the figure above to connect all parts of the device. You can find the AP Wifi name “COMFAST_XXXX_2G/5G” in the smartphone WiFi list, you can connect without a password. If you need to change the WiFi name and password, please continue reading the advanced settings section below.

Advanced Settings

Smartphone Access Device

  • Refer to the above connection method to make the AP device work in router mode;
  • Use your smartphone to connect to the AP’s WiFi hotspot” COMFAST XXXN_26/5G”;
  • Open the mobile browser and enter 192.168.10.1 to the login page; Before logging in, set the page language to English through the language icon in the bottom right corner;
  • Enter the default login password “admin” to access the device;

Computer Access Device

  • Refer to the above connection method to make the AP device work in routing mode,
  • Enter 192.168.10.1 in the computer browser to the login page,

  • Enter the default password “admin” to access the device.

  • Setting path: Network>Wireless>2.4G Wireless or 5.8G Wireless>Enter New SSID>Enter New Password>Apply
  • It is recommended that the SSIDs of 2.4G WiFi and 5.8G WiFi be set to different names to distinguish them, and the passwords are set to the same for easy memory.
  • The advantage of 2.4G WiFi is that it has strong penetration, but it is easy to interfere with; The 5.8G WIFi has good anti-interference, long transmission distance, and good stability. It is recommended to connect 5.8G WiFi hotspots in daily use.

IP Address Settings

The default IP address is 192.168.10.1, you can set a new IP address according to your needs. Setting this option is not recommended if you are not a professional

Workin$g Modes

The UAP180 equipment supports 4 working modes: Router mode, AP mode, Repeater mode and Bridge mode, and the default is routing mode.

Router Mode

  • Select Router mode, choose PPPoE;
  • Enter your Internet account name and password;
  • Set up a separate password for new WiFi, and click “Finish”.

AP Mode

  • Select AP mode and set the intranet IP address. For example, your superior router IP is 192.168.1.1. In AP mode, the IP of the device should be set as follows: 192.168.1.2 (Cannot conflict with other devices)
  • Set an independent password for your extended WiFi (It is recommended that the password is the same as the WiFi password of the superior router).
  • Click “Finish”, and wait for the setting to succeed. After the configuration succeeds, connect the LAN port of the POE adapter and the LAN port of the superior router with network cable.
    Note: After the configuration succeed, please accessed and managed the device through the IP address 192.168.1.2

Repeater Mode

  • Select “Repeater mode” and use default IP 192.168.10.1
  • Select 2.4G or 5.8G band, scan and select your wireless SSID and enter its password.
  • Set an independent password for your extended WiFi (it is recommended that the password is the same as the WiFi password of the superior router), and Click “Finish”.

Bridge Mode

  • Select Bridge mode and set the intranet IP address. For example, your superior router IP is 192.168. 1.1. In Bridge mode, the IP of the device should be set as follows: 192.168.1.2 (Cannot conflict with other devices)
  • Select 2.4G or 5.8G band, scan and select your wireless SSID and enter its password.
  • Set an independent password for your extended WiFi (It is recommended that the password is the same as the WiFi password of the superior router), and Click “Finish”.
  • Note: After the configuration succeed, please accessed and managed the device through the IP address 192.168.1.2

How to Reset the UAP180 Device

Turn on the device’s power supply, wait for about 90s, then press and hold the “RESET” button for 12-15s (the black button at the bottom of the device), the signal light will flash,and then release the button to wait for the system to restart (about 2 minutes). The signal light will be on again. Wait the “COMFAST_XXXX_2G or COMFAST_XXXX_5G” WiFi appears in the WiFi list of the computer/mobile phone, now you can start to setup.UeeVii UAP180 Wireless
