Your R180 is supplied with the correct power adapter for your region.
Depending on the choices made by your service provider, your box may also
contain the optional accessories shown below.
The R180 is protected with a clear plastic film.
This should be removed before use.

Overview of the R180
Power/Activity LED: Blue = on.
Blue flashing = infra-red (IR) command received /R180 starting up.
Red = standby.
- Ethernet port.
- S/PDIF optical output.
- Analogue A/V output.
- HDMI output.
- Reset button. Only for use under guidance from your service provider.
- USB port.
- MicroSD.
- DC power input 12 V 1 A.
Connecting the R180 to a TV
Warning! Before connecting or disconnecting the R180 to your TV using any
kind of cable, first switch off the R180, the TV and all other devices (A/V
amplifier etc.) and disconnect them from the mains electrical supply.
You have a choice of ways to connect the audio and video produced by the R180
to your TV:
- HDMI: Recommended for best quality. Connect a HDMI cable from the HDMI output of R180 to the HDMI input of your TV.
- Analog A/V: Provides good quality in SD only.
Composite video with analog audio left/right. Connect the 3.5mm jack to the A/V OUT port on the R180 and connect the yellow RCA plug to the yellow video port on your TV. Connect the red and white RCA plugs to the red and white audio ports on your TV.
Connecting your television directly to the audio/video output of your Set Top
Box will assure a more vivid picture and enhance your viewing enjoyment.
Connecting to WiFi
The R180 may optionally be supplied with internal WiFi.
If your R180 has WiFi connectivity, please contact your service provider for
detailed instructions on wireless network configuration.
Connecting the R180 to an A/V amplifier
Connect one end of an optical S/PDIF cable to the S/PDIF optical output of the R180. Connect the other end of the cable to the S/PDIF optical input of your A/V amplifier or home cinema system.
Connecting the R180 to power supply
Warning! The R180 must only be used with the power adapter provided with
the product. Ensure you have the right power adapter for your region. If you
are unsure, contact your service provider.
Connect the power adapter to the DC power input of the R180, then insert the
power adapter plug into the mains supply.

The product contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer all servicing to
qualified service personnel.
Handle the product with care and do not attempt to dismantle it.
Do not expose the product or its accessories to any liquids, rain or moisture.
The product will become warm during operation. Do not locate the product near
a heat source and do not block ventilation holes. Allow at least 10 cm (4”)
space around the product for air circulation.
Do not put the product in locations where it may be subject to physical shock,

Only use the power supply provided by the manufacturer. The use of any other

Product disposal information – EU only
Amino products are labelled in accordance with the WEEE Directive and
